Oh, this is so very sweet indeed!!! Apparently programming the key commands or macros is limitless on the display pad as one can create folders in folders with macros…. Really nice to see a company take keyboards to the next level.

I like the elgato stream deck but would never get one because I am not a streamer. The DisplayPad seems to have a lot of advantages over the Elgato Stream deck. The Steam Deck cannot display animated GIFs. Also the Elgato stream deck does not have nonvolatile memory. You must run the Elgato app on a computer or Raspberry pi on a stream deck. 4:15 Mountain’s DisplayPad can be programmed through their app but then the device can be plugged in to a computer for presumably any peripheral that can accept the programmed macro commands. This is a huge difference especially for someone whose main system is Linux or any non windows/mac OS.

Great review, thanks! Maybe I missed it in your video, but can you also download profiles/plugins/iconpacks etc (for example for paintshop pro or other programs) like with the Stream Deck and Loupedeck?

Is it possible to define more macros than buttons by defining 1 button as a change button and switch the „functions“ like one level for obs one for media and one for a game and then by pushing the one button switch the funktionality of the other level

No disrespect to Mountain at all. To me the Everest DisplayPad is VERY similar to the Elgato Stream Deck. The LCD screens are near identical with the only notable difference being the DisplayPad being more focused on width and the buttons stand out slightly further from the face. The Heavy base os also similar to the mk2 of the stream deck. The winning part of the Everest DisplayPad in my eyes however seems to be the compatibility with the keyboards that mountain also sells from i saw from looking it up is that itll end up in a very convenient and comfortable place on your desk.
