Lakhs of people around the world and in India live on the streets, they are homeless and with no stable source of income. Children from this part of society often live in miserable circumstances and are not even given the basic right to education.
In this Josh Talk, Haimanti Sen founder of a non-profit organisation Junoon talks about her journey of coming from a middle-class family who has seen a conservative environment while growing up. Haimanti always had a zeal to make a difference in society and wanted to bring a change that transforms millions of children. Haimanti realised the potential of the kids on Mumbai's streets and she ventured out on a mission to impart quality education to them so that they not only start walking on the right path but also change the lives of their family members. Haimanti went ahead with a mission to give them good education and in the process, she saw several hurdles but they could never deter her from what she wanted to achieve. This talk will truly inspire all of us to look at life with a different lens and work towards making the world a better place.

I hope you find peace, it's easy to comment looking at the video sitting comfortably in your home. Imagine she stood by those kids for that long feeling a sense of social responsibility. I beleive none of us went and spent that time with such people.
