This sounds so good! Xerjoff is a bit pricey for me though, unfortunately. I might go for the chocolate covered orange sticks instead! 🍊🍫
I have both the 2015 & The 2021 version. They both smell exactly the same. This used to be exclusive to Fortnum & Mason which is packaged differently than the one from Xerjoff Universe. I have the 100ml of both.
Hopefully 🙏 this solves those who are curious about the difference between the two.
Oh good I did smell whenI went to Fortnums in Jan 2019 but I smelled so much I had forgotten what I smelled that day not only hitting Harrods, Selfridges and Fortnums. But glad they are identical! :)
I’m a big fan of Xerjoff, I didn’t even realize it until recently but out of all the houses I own fragrances from, I have the most Xerjoffs. I love so many from the casamorati line, including the famed gourmand bomb Italica. But my favorite xerjoffs are ivory Route, ouverture, amber star, bouquet ideal, Naxos, and Gran Ballo 🤩
I love Xerjoff and my favorite ones are their freshies Nio, Renaissance, Fiero, and Laylati from the woodies
I college I worked for a Canadian chocolatier “Rogers Chocolates”, in Victoria, BC. We had candied orange peal enrobed in dark chocolate. So delicious…it was the most expensive chocolate per gram in our stores. But sooooo worth it. This sounds absolutely delicious! Dark chocolate can be bitter and sometimes we can almost detect a burnt chocolate…which is not my fav. Thank you for sharing ❤️😀🇨🇦~Kim

This is as you explain an orange and chocolate bomb. It's quite a delicious gourmand and very long lasting too. I would buy it. Right now I have decant.
Just sampled this 2 weeks ago. Very beautiful, absolutely love it, however in the dry down it reminds me a lot of Acqua e Zucchero and Pink sugar, still think it’s bottle worthy.
More than 500$, I really love niche frag but they are pushing the bar too far imho. But what can I say good for them if they have such kind of audience with big fluffy wallets
The reason for the high price is because the concentration is Pure Perfume! But yes it's expensive! :)
I just ordered Olympic Orchids California Chocolate which has orange and yuzu at the top along with chocolate and cognac. I can't wait to get it.

I've ordered a sample of it last month and immediately it became no1 on my to buy list I think fans of montale chocolate greedy would die for this although I should mention I don't get any of the two ouds listed on me the orange note stays throughout all the stages of the perfume the chocolate and vanilla never get cloying it's very balanced and just perfection.

Didn't think I would like orange & chocolate together in a fragrance until I tried Chocolate Greedy by Montale. This sounds like a better blended version of that so I'm sold. Thanks Mr. Sabastion

I would like this one I think... recently I purchased Oud Orange Intense by fdb and I was kind of transported back in time to Christmases long long ago where my Mum and Dad would pop a Terrys Chocolate orange in my Christmas stocking.... I used to love those things... you just tap it and unwrap it ...ta da ! da da ! .........

I really enjoy the xerjoff scents I have tried so far. I bought bouquet ideale and Dama Bianca. I love them both but for me the longevity isn’t there on either of them. I think this one sounds amazing.
Sounds like Fragrance du Bois Oud Orange Intense - Oud, Orange, coconut and vanilla, which smells a lot more like chocolate in this amazing fragrance. Kilian Noir Aphrodisaque is also great for citrus (floras) and chocolate.

Different notes. The FDB doesn't have any Chocolate! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy That's the genius of it - doesn't smell like vanilla, but chocolate! It's not just me that thinks this, most reviewers of this fragrance also get chocolate - perhaps a weird confluence of oud, bourbon vanilla, and coconut.
I will have to test that out soon. I haven't experienced it yet. I want to smell the chocolate! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy I'd love to hear your comments on this one, as your reviews are the gold standard...I have sampled most FdB and Oud Orange is one of the best, I thought it would be a vanilla bomb like Nishane Ani, but I get more chocolate...wonderful however you see it. Their rose ouds are also amazing - I like Oud Noir Intense...might be my signature scent.

This one was weird to me at first but I think I’ll like it more after more time with it. My initial note said “Smell seems split in two. Sweet on one side and bright and bitter on the other. Eventually settled to orangey chocolate “

I decluttered many fragrances so I could purchase the 100ml! I'm so excited to receive it! Sebastian I've read people comparing this to PR's Acqua e Zuccaro. Do they smell similar?
I happened to read comment and no the fragrances smell completely different, I see no similarity other than sweetness.

Symposium sounds gorgeous but the cost of each size is way above my price point. I only own one Xerjoff (Naxos) and although it wasn’t inexpensive by any means, it was still almost half the price of this one. But again, it sounds amazing.

Not similar to Lira. Both gourmands, but Lira is like a lemon vanilla cake and this is a chocolate orange creamsicle. Closer in vein to Kilian Noir Aphrodisiaque if you know that one.
Have you ever tried forbidden by Aaron Terrence Hughes? It’s amazing, also utilizes the chocolate orange and oud combo but adds some other amazing components and has beast mode performance like most of his stuff does

Oh absolutely. This is full on oranges with mandarin orange loads of chocolate. Lira is light orange citrus for me with caramel so yes def different. One other difference is concentration this is Pure Perfume whereas Lira is Eau De Parfum. :)

I love SOME of the ouds from X. I have A2 and Malesia and they are great. There are a couple I don’t like.
There are many X’s (in the v other collections) I haven’t smelled, but I just blind bought Cruz Del Sur II. Maybe I should have gotten this one🤣
Fan of Xerjoff, Cruz Del Sur 1 is a brilliant, rich, woody gourmand. I thought the first 5 minutes of Symphonium was stunning, then it quickly turned into an overpriced white musk scent as all the chocolate and orange notes quickly disappeared. Savagely disappointing perfume on my skin. If the opening lasted it would have been 10/10, but as it stands it's a tragic failure, boring as all hell.
