Why would a store called HOBBY Lobby get rid of needlework? Our small HL has a dated and dismal stitchery section, there are way better options online.
i really enjoy your videos! Many, many thanks. Interestingly, even tho i know Hobby Lobbys are alike but different, i noticed EXACTLY the same things that you mentioned. i saw one left of the larger cut black aida on clearance left, and 2 of the mottled white/grey smaller cut 14 ct...i considered purchasing them, but then i didn't. But ended up w/the 14ct smaller cut antique blue, light blue marked down from $3.99 to .99 cents. It seemed that little section of smaller cuts was pretty well picked over and all were not marked down, either. Thought about getting the one left over large black 14 ct, but honestly...i've only stitched one project thru the years on very dark navy and said "never again." Just way too difficult for my eyes. The smaller needlework kits were red tagged, too...but, again, not all. Lots of red tag items all over the store, especially in the jewelry and buttons. No red tags on any of the yarn. Not even one. And, i'm a Fall/Winter person from the beginning and LOVE seeing all the Fall stuff up on the walls and working it's way down! Again, many thanks.
ps...Not real sure about all the bedding sheets sets, etc. i know it's home decor, but maybe i just want to see crafts. imho. i don't recall seeing them before, but maybe i just missed that aisle. Seems there were more lamps there previously. Just an observation.
I appreciate these tips you give us. Thx much. I have been watching the gridding videos. I’m one who stitches while watching tv and invariably get off count. I’ve watched your video on the subject twice. I ordered the sliver thread from Sulky that several have talked about and I hate it. It’s way too slippery and I just threw in the towel on that one. I like your method but I’m just stitching a Shepherd’s Bush stocking. Yep it’s my 4th one and I have had to frog on each one But one of your viewers commented that when they pulled their gridding thread out after finishing, you could see where the thread had been. Were you able to figure that out with them? They asked if you’d ever experienced that? And mine is on 18 or 20 Ct linen not Aida.
Our HL has drastically reduced the cross stitch. And due to a store reset, they’ve put the stitching on an aisle…and put the floss 2 rows over. At the end of the stitching section was pillow coverings. 😒
I had asked my hobby lobby about the sparse needlework selection. They said that it wasn't that popular and they were going to be weeding it out completely eventually.
That makes me sad. The only thing I can find there now are some bits of fabric (aida or lugana) and floss. I remember whenthey used to carry Dimensions kits etc
Our Hobby Lobby has become nothing but a Kohl's even with clothing and home goods. Our Needlework section is one eighth of an aisle, the needlework is dismal. I quit them altogether with the exception of finishing boards, and those types of things. Even frames have become little to no selection.
I don’t trust Hobby Lobby anymore. Every time the clear out they get rid of so much, and downsize until their is not much left. They use to have such a big variety, I’m afraid they are going to clear out of stitchery completely . Joann’s doesn’t have anything but some thread left.

It's a sale
Thank you i really appreciate your videos ❤
Hobby Lobby has been such a disappointment. In our area HL stocks more houseware items than craft items.

My store just finished the yarn clearance so your store should have it done soon. There is also a big jewelry clearance again.
