hey dude like your videos very interesting , im rebuilding my n52b25 atm and im curious about the camshafts i ordered a used exhaust camshaft that looks better then mine but did u every recognize that there are 2 different camshafts for each exhaust and inlet they look different i bet u recognized this already, do u know whats different about them or maybe bmw just altered production things there idk . Do u recognized that the camlobes are thicker on the one exhaust camshaft. Would be cool if u can say something about that because u obviously have more knowledge about n52 then me i guess :Dty

yes I have notice that, for example the 2006 have the end with hex head so you can use a wrench and it has a line so you can mesure 45 degrees at tdc and that is "O" at the end of the engine number and so we have K and A that measn the engine internals parts are indetical but upgraded in many ways

I would be happy if you help. I have a 2007 BMW X5 E70 3.0si vehicle. Two weeks ago, the exhaust side camshaft broke down. We realized this after the low oil pressure warning. My mechanic did not see the need to open the lower crankcase and said that the problem was in the upper cover. As he said, the camshaft was faulty (the bearing was broken). He procured these and other necessary parts and reassembled everything. He washed the upper part of the engine and the parts it was attached to by spraying air with diesel oil (diesel may have gotten into some sockets here). Then he replaced the valvetronic engine and tried to give it the first start. But he failed to start the engine. I asked him whether the crank and camshaft synchronization was done correctly (because we also changed the chain and valves). He said that he had done the accuracy test on it twice. We have not been able to start the engine for about a week. The error codes are 2a9a and 2a9b. My mechanic found that the coils were not igniting. They tested with many different devices. They tried coding etc. thinking that the problem was in the Valvetronic engine. They still couldn't get any results. The last time they tested it was with another device and they said that my vehicle was giving off sauce and went into theft mode. That's why the engine was not firing. I would like to hear your opinions since you repaired the same engine and a similar problem. I would really appreciate it if you answer. (my engine n52b30)

yeah i wish you where more specific about the codes but what he is talking about i am assuming is the called EWS German for antti -theft system. In your vehicle year and model it should be able to disengage this code whit a bmw software name ISTA , this has a service faction that would reset this EWS code if that is what your problem is . There is an cell phone aplication from bimergeeks named protol that has this service function but i do not know if it will work whit you particular car i know it work for sure on e90s, any way if your mechanic dosent have ISTA he wouild not be aible to know for siire what is the problem, evean if heas has the most expensive scaner , he may require ista P to programs such code i know v series sometimes the service fuction i hiden in Ista P instead of just ista,,I hope I anwers is clear enough about ista and ista P
