well probably dive out towards friendlies, most likely he would just break off so not to lose his altitude. If he would follow and start coughing up, around 700 km/h in F4U you can use your landing gear like air brakes, so I would drop that and pull the throttle to 0%, and try to make him over shoot, Mustangs can't slow down as fast as F4U with gears down. Then depending on his moves we would see from there.
Can you do one fighting with a Mustang against bf109s cause I can't seem to get the right combat method as they always catch up or out-turn me and its unrealistic to get to the heights where i will out perform a bf109 in a rb match. :) Also good video
Also, remember Mustangs are Usually faster than 109 and their wing rip speed is way higher than 109 so try to use that to you advantage. But ya if you want to be above them, you have to side climb for a while and not be visible, sadly by then most of your team is dead 😒

Hey bro im angrygrandma173 from your friend list. I had a nice dogfight against a bf109g2, who was diving on me. I managed to equalize the energy to force the bf109 to dive away. Im wondering if i could send thr clip to you and then u revoew it in a video? Tysm!
I'm sure its super cool but for now I have a huge list of videos to get through first. But maybe 1 day i could do a dog fight reviews, sounds like a good idea
I feel like u should have just stayed calm and, fly level and then pull a reversal. Im also one of those hardcore p51d players and a trap that i often fall for is when somebody is going fast, pitches up and i just start doing loops in it thinking im at an advantage, but a loop later i just realized that i fell for it and would typically just dive away. Yeahh well, good energy fighter pilots can literally play with their targets like a slinky. Really impossible to touch someone that has set themselves up accordingly and knows how to energy fight. Overall i think that this is a great demonstration to frustrated newbies playing energy fighters that if played correctly, a p51 or bf109 can easily just mess around with their prey.

ya that is super hard, the mustangs especially at low BR climb soooooo slow. I'll see what I can do

@@GamingWithJollyRoger The one tip that has helped is max fuel loading so you can actually outrun a bf 109 in a dive thats the only strat I know
