    I saw everyone is asking about the subtitle if you don't know, you can either turn it off or move the subtitle to the top, like where her head is.

    • That was an ultra deluxe intro
    • Bullet point details would have been more efficient
    • My vote on spelling is “Fondu”

    Actually that is a coupe - Fondu is performed at the knee and then extended out

    I don't like fondus. My teacher puts my leg up higher and doesn't push the other girls so I am kind of like o-o

    I have a big problem.. I always make my shoulders go up when I am doing releve it's just tiring.

    • @cypher6935
      @cypher6935 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      focus on relaxing your shoulders and sinking them down (elbows high still!) as you push up onto releve. start by practicing at a bar to hold your balance. make sure you hold your core or you may lean backwards when your shoulders are relaxed

    The fault is with the placement of the subtitles which covers the movements we are learning.

    Hi! I was wondering what ballet pose was when you point your toe out to the side, pull it up to the side of your leg, put it out to the front and then kick?

    • @malvavisco10
      @malvavisco10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tendus?

    • @jennifercowell9343
      @jennifercowell9343 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      pointe the foot to the side = tendu, pull it up to the side of your leg = passe/retire, develope would move the leg to the front, but unsure of the kick aspect - maybe just a small lift before placing leg in tendu devant and closing fifth - ferme/cinquième.

    I like the instructional video. It would be even better if the subtitles would not be covering the feet, so footwork can be analyzed.

      ***** You do realize that you can turn off the subtitles? The video itself doesn't have subtitles. They are from TH-cam and if you don't turn them on in the first place you can see everything.

    • @eunhu.i_i
      @eunhu.i_i 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or you can move the subtitle to the top

      @@newkatastrophies Some people are hard of hearing and NEED the closed captioning. Thankfully, TH-cam often provides it.

    Wrong. In Ballet, it is spelled Fondu. In French if describing a female or something feminine in nature, you would spell it Fondue. But Ballet terminology is generally spelled in the masculine nature.

    • @nutbits
      @nutbits 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s because the real term is battement fondu and battement is a masculine noun.
