36:50 what makes this so scary to me is it’s such a unique setting that hearing screaming like that is horrifying. Logically, our brains know there shouldn’t be ANY sounds. No wind, no animals, no moving objects, and especially no people. So hearing something so abrasive loud coming from an unknown location in a place like this just puts your brain into full alert “I’m in danger” “this is not right” “I need to leave now” flight or fight response mode. That is some truly effective horror right there. If it was like out in a forest you could say it’s an animal or someone stalking you which is still scary and all, but your mind can logically explain it better. If it was like a haunted hospital, your brain would say it’s a ghost of a mental patient hurting in a procedure. But down here, there has been nothing living for thousands of years. It is completely stale, desolate, and lifeless. The way the screaming pierced the silence just makes you want to beg for it to stop because it is so wrong for it to be happening and it’s so loud and abrasive but disembodied in a place where no sound should be emanating. The duration of it too. It makes you back into a wall and just freeze in terror.
not to mention the implied emotions behind the scream. it's such an unsettling mix of sadness and maybe frustration? maybe anguish is what im looking for. regardless, its freaky as fuck

@@michaelguernsey1206 bro not only that, if you are in a forest or something you know that its large and you feel like you can easily escape it but at 36:50 you can only escape from that room by literally going into the direction ( room ) where the scream came from and it makes it more terrifying, you feel like staying in that room but you also know that its haunted and its dangerous to stay there but its also more terrifying to go out

I mean the specific "ancient aliens", theories that popped up because tons of people are incapable of thinking early, usually non-white cultures are capable of making these great wonders, so obviously 'aLIeNs DiD iT', when time and time again science has been able to prove or recreate similar feats with primitive technology, showing it could be done by humans back then. It takes away from exactly how smart and resourceful these people were, and the skills they possessed.
If you are an ancient aliens person, I'm not saying you're some kind of violent racist, but you do need to step back and ask why you think it was utterly impossible that these people could do great things like this, especially when no one (or very few) ever looks at things like ancient European castles, cathedrals, and such and has the same assumptions that humans couldn't have built it.
I know this is a horror game but sometimes I can't help myself but be in awe, just the architechural integrity of it all looks magnificent, like you ripped a scene from ancient Egypt. Props to whoever designed the backgrounds and the map bruh. The feel is so authentic it's actually crazy.
37:15 you can die from fear, the brain can basically spasm to death if scared enough. It has happened along the ages and recently enough to prove that the brain was the failing organ. Heart attacks are also a way to die from fear.

I was genuinely scared but that was such a mix of emotions, made me burst out laughing.😆

Gonna be completely honest here… the main reason I like watching Case play games is because he is genuinely good at them! You know what I mean? I just hate watching someone play a game and they just have no idea what to do, yes even if they have never played it before, it’s just hard to watch! But, Case is just good at games right away! It makes it so much more entertaining when you have a true gamer playing a game they never have before because they are just good at it already!
