Yeah what the heck haha. Ive been playing guitar for 6 years but never bothered trying to learn any theory, it seemed so complicated. Gonna go have a look at scales n stuff now
@@chillsanders8719 If you picked up a guitar and played it for one hour a day for 10 years, you still wouldn't know chords and you still wouldn't know songs. It takes understanding. You can mess around on the fret board and think, "oh yeah that sounds good" but actually taking the time and learning from a tutor or videos is much more effective
i know im asking the wrong place but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
So mad how you can just listen to a song a know exactly what's being played. My friend who has been playing for years can do the same. Such an amazing skill
I Love how you breakdown the reasons behind the chords and not just give us the chords she uses. Really gives the viewer a wholistic understanding of what is taking place in the song. Fantastic stuff!
You're so humble bro, I just came from a video where the guy showing the riffs kept saying how easy it was and had zero respect for the artist. Great job!!
to my ears it sounds like Vox type of amp set to edge of breakup, with trebble booster full on, but volume on guitar turned almost off. And lot of reverb. Some kind of old school fuzz face pedal for ending solos.
Sorry for the massive e delay in responding!! This was played into my computer interface, and through Logic Pro. I had a simple clean setting with a fair bit of reverb. I was playing my fender Strat using the neck pick up. I will do a video soon all about tone and how to achieve certain sounds using different guitar settings, different amp settings and use of effect pedals. Cheers!
Great video! how did you learn to be able listen to a song and then be able to play it? And does it matter to play c minor and B major in the a shape barre chords?
Can you play any grateful dead like hell bucket crumbland blues live version s not studio Jerry's solos r insain so many different cords so fast it really doesn't repeat chords he's all over the place I can't get it itred
If you're not trying to play it live, you can just record each part as a separate track in any DAW. For playing live, you'll either need a band or you'll need to use dark magic to turn into Tommy Emmanuel
Hmm it went a little too fast with the natural minor scale. Which one EXACTLY are you using? I did a google image search for "natural minor scale guitar", but there are about 10 different natural minor scales. Which one exactly is it? Other than that a good video. Just don't forget that for beginners verbosity is very important in order to play along and actually understand what exactly it is we're doing at the moment.
The way you explained a bar cord was literally so simple and I understood it better then what anyone else has said.
Cheers Tanner!

@@chillsanders8719 The idea within itself takes understanding. You don't pick up a guitar and understand how to play it instantly.

Right haha I use those chords all the time
This is the best tutorial I’ve found for a song. You explain things really well and why they work instead of just being like do this and this.
Thanks so much Raven, really appreciate it! :)
@@WailGuitar I echo this sentiment. Really well done

Thanks sad dude!

Can you please make a tone tutorial for the sound of the guitar here. What pedals do you use and at what settings?
to my ears it sounds like Vox type of amp set to edge of breakup, with trebble booster full on, but volume on guitar turned almost off. And lot of reverb.
Some kind of old school fuzz face pedal for ending solos.

How do I make my guitar sound like that
I was using the neck pickup on my Fender Strat, clean setting with heaps of reverb! A tone video will be coming out soon! Cheers!

What sound effect makes that heavy breathing sound?

Are you referring to reverb?

Any way to get around the looper pedal ?

It's the c minor scale
Well you could learn guitar theory outside of lessons to make it easier for yoursrlf
Deal buy grateful dead live version Jerry's solo I can't get it to f hard I tried
Why can't I strum this!!?? Sounds nothing like it no matter how I try lol
Hi James! Keep practicing mate, you can do it! :) Cheers!
Can you just play the solo without the tutorial? I just want to listen that solo.
it’s they/them not she/her
Nice tutorial. One note - Tash Sultana uses ‘they/them’ as their pronouns, not ‘she’ - would be great if you used their chosen pronouns.
Lol fuck off
Thanks for that Andy! Good point!
