How to use your Bosal AK40 Vertical Detachable Towbar

Bosal specialises in manufacturing high spec retractable, detachable and fixed towbars.
Although our Towbars are designed to be straight-forward and easy-to-use, sometimes using a Towbar can be confusing if you’re not shown how.

Just bought a second hand tow bar of this model in perfect conditions but unfortunately without the manual. Thanks for the video, it is very clarifying.
Aiming people who has doubts on "how to" here are some complementary hints.
The key can only be removed when it is in its locked position as follows:
a) The swan neck fitting is properly installed in the car receptacle + rotating the key to the unlocked position.
or
b) With the swan neck fitting removed from the car after preparing it for installation as shown by the video + overcoming the spring tension with the rotating knob and pressing simultaneously the lower sphere (note : there are 4 balls on the vertical barrel) + releasing the rotating knob where the key in installed.
As additional general information the key has a double sense arrow mark and the knob has two icons of a padlock (locked and unlocked.)
Always clean and lubricate both the receptacle and the fitting barrel to avoid seizing of the parts.
I hope this brings some clarity to the subject.
PS: if anyone can send me a pdf manual or link for a repository I would be much appreciated.

I have an AK41 towbar. Should take flat spot on top of the ball be level when mounted? Right now it's tilted backwards, and the bicycle carrier tilts backwards too.

On mine the unit locks in place as it should - I cant remove the key though
It won’t turn . Is it damaged or am I doing something wrong?
If it’s damaged how do I get it out ?

So when the knob doesnt rotate enought to remobe the key, what do you do? Works fine on the bench.

I have this on my Opel Zafira B 2010 and it's stuck i can't remove it,i followed the instruction on my manual book and from the video but still can't remove it. Thanks Good video ...

The detachable swan neck works fine but when I try to attach the mechanism doesn't come back all the way so the key cant be removed. what could this be?

My towbar is stuck. I was able to remove it from car, but not I am unable to remove the key, white dot on the towbar matches red color on the handle, ball on top seems to be inside the towbar. Any hints on how to fix this? Thanks!

You only can remove the key when it is in its locked position either:

or

I can't remove the key after I have detached it from car. I think the key should be in it when not in use yes. Or?

Its stuck on, cant remove the towbar, keys inside and i unlock the towbar with the wheel you rotate, but it doesnt come off, using even both my hands on the wheel to make sure it goes all the way, even rotate it around with one hand and hammer in other hand, completely stuck, this is a bad towbar solution, this is what happening when you give educated people the job, pass the school and dont know how shit really works, just builds something the school would accept, one time use only products
