A2 Sized Star Card by Request

Start with a 7 1/2 x 6 1/2 piece of cardstock, mark it in the middle on the 7 1/2 inch side. Slice from corner to middle mark on each side to get triangle. Score on all three sides at 3 1/4 and 4 1/4. Fold on the score lines, and lock in the star by pulling the bottom point over the top.

Hi Maymay! I haven’t seen this star card made before. I really enjoyed watching the process of making the score marks and cuts for the patterned paper. Hi Maymay,thank you for this great tutorial,I have just made one using red card stock and the decorated with gold and green glitter paper,I added a hole at the top for ribbon,I think they will make lovely decorations for the tree.

I have made this card before it was great revisiting it to go and make again. This would be a great card to make several at a time. I have gotten into making several at a time for a while and it seems to go faster than just one at a time. It's because you have everything all set up. Thanks for sharing. I haven't done this before but I think it would be good to have a file with temp plates with measurements on it so that you don't have to go look for it again on u tube. Lol

May May, I love these tutorials so much better than the lives! I’m truly not trying to be rude, but sometimes I just don’t have time to listen and wait thru all the funny stuff and chit chat.. I watch a lot of tutorials and you truly are the best at explaining step by step details..
Thank you, a many people feel the same as you. That is why I make two videos a week that are filmed, they available Tuesday and Saturdays at noon CST. We only do the live show on Thursdays at noon and we follow that show up with the Crafter After Show for all our viewers that love the live format. Just wanted to make sure I let you know that there are two of the filmed videos a week. Hugs!!! PS sometimes we bring in a sneaky live here and there with new product etc but that is typically not a tutorial of any kind.

Wow! Thanks May May....this is just lovely. I loaded the Cricut file into my DS App. You sooooooo ROCK! So I don’t even have to do any measuring! (But I may do one by hand anyways. This would be cute with a photo inside or on that back triangle.

Great card was Thinking to use it with the elderly I craft with each week but to much preparation think it’s great to make them for all the elderly (some play cards) as a christmasornament. So lit of cutting to do but you make it easy to make multiple (60 🤗)

As far as sinking the blade...what if you have a rotary blade?

Maymay - I love watching your videos, I agree that you are one of the best teachers out there. However, You have such a blindspot to the world that it is very frustrating. Not everyone who watches you is a Christian, and you're the only person I know who can take a Star of David from the Jewish faith and decorate it like a Christmas star. I once asked you on your live show if you had any Hanukkah decorations and you were actually aghast! Not wanting to start a war of words, just wanted you to consider the possibility of having an audience that is open to other beliefs and needs and spread your wings. Thanks for reading.
I’m so sorry you feel that way. I didn’t even think about this being a star of David, mostly because I believed the Star of David is equal on all points and this project isn’t. The nature of the card doesn’t allow for each point to be equal. Also, this is a card style that has been around for years. I was just remaking it to resize it as requested by a viewer. I’m sorry we don’t have the same faith. I also don’t think I would have been aghast to have been asked to make any sort of project, if it came across that way I’m so sorry. I would never notionally do that. Also, I am very aware that not everyone that watches me is a Christian, however, and I think you understand this, if a person believes a certain way surely it shows in their lives and the fact that I don’t do other types of religious crafting is simply because it is not part of my life. Meaning I don’t think of that in my own creative process. However, I would encourage others who believe differently than me to take my projects and tutorials and use them as they feel creative towards their beliefs. The fact that you saw this as a Star of David actual shows me that a person can use my projects for their own beliefs and style of creating. I appreciate you, your viewership and I pray you have so much fun making stars! Hugs!
