Nice video! I flew the Seminole once- my ATP check-ride out of TEB in the late '80s. Never flew it before or after. Got the ticket so I guess it worked out. I had been flying the C-141 for years but in college flew the Arrow and Aztec a lot. It seemed familiar and friendly. Good luck!

Not too shabby! If I had one critique; I didn’t see you verify gear down once. I tried to see, but was unable to see 3 green.. assuming it’s just the video. Run that GGUMP/blue line check list on base. A gear down on final check is also highly recommended. It could save you one day.

MFD bottom left, three green lights. 0:08 he points to confirm it(as well as the rest of the GUMPS list after). Although I agree he didn't verbally confirm anything, not compulsory but it does help to talk things out for an extra layer of safety.

Seminoles land hard. Realistically, this was a pretty good landing.

I was wondering about that as well. I didn't see much flare at all, it looked like the aircraft was flown right to the ground.

@@archerpiperii2690 In a training environment students have often just transitioned from another platform like the archer, and are used to a lighter aircraft. Without the use of electric trim, it's very tricky to keep the nose up so that's why you'll see a lot of training seminoles land hard and flat.

you'd think with duel g1000's and an instructor you'd manage to at least land on the thousand footers.. just smash it down whereever you see fit though. what's a commercial and 250 hours under you good for anyways, fucking hell

No no. He’s correct though. Every pilot I know tries to hit their markers, wherever that is. On this runway in this plane, the thousand footers. Also, whipping it like that on base to final while doing other stuff is an easy way to get saturated and stall. I mean, he’s almost at 45 degrees turning to final. Then, you always want centerline EACH and EVERY time, which he did well. They’re standards for a reason.

You do know not even airliners land on the 1000 footers right? Its their aiming point. Besides, who are u to judge someone's landing so disrespectfully. Clearly you're not a pilot because I've never met another pilot with such audacity.
