Kindness is king! Also, women love mature men. When a man matures he stops seeking acceptance by women. Don’t be needy. Be independent, self assured, and kind.

Older men = 1. more life experience, 2. greater self awareness, 3. higher focus on priorities, 4. (and maybe the most important) our give-a-damn about relationships is geared so that a romantic/sexual relationship isn't the most important thing in outlives.

Hey John I’ve been out of pocket for a while. Working out and dressing nicely goes a long way. I was at the mall today and wore nice casual outfit. The amount of attention I got was a big difference compared to the guys wearing shorts and flip flops.

Hey John! I just wanted to say that I really love watching your videos as your style of presenting men's fashion appeals to me more than the other channels on YT. I am a 65 year old guy who likes dressing up since I was a young man. My dad taught me everything I needed to know as far as dressing up from head to toe. He taught me good grooming and dressing up, from shining my shoes, to pressing my shirts and pants (other than slacks), hair grooming, proper etiquette and most especially, how to treat and attract a woman! I am Filipino and grew up in the Philippines but have spent the last 35 years here in the US. I was wondering when you're doing your next outfit review so I can send a couple of pics so you can critique my outfit and overall look. Again, you are doing a very fantastic job especially for men like me, so I can carefully curate the kind of clothes that look best on me, especially at my age. More power to you, sir!

I spent the day at a busy co-working office yesterday and was amazed by how many men I saw in baggy shorts, flip flops and message tees whereas the women without exception were in linen, dresses or otherwise put together "polished casual" outfits. The bar is so low out there to stand out with just a bit of effort.

When it comes to how you dress, there is a time and place for everything. If you are going to a work function, social gathering, and out to eat at a nice restaurant you should dress up some. But if you're running to grab a pizza, grab some stuff from the local store, or a number of other mundane tasks I see nothing wrong with throwing on a t-shirt.
When it comes to listening to her go on and on just let her vent. Sometimes a person simply needs get something off their chest. Don't try to fix the problem, just listen, or at least become very good at faking it.
When it comes to how you treat other people just remember that the person in the restaurant you're treating like crap is back there with your food. Think about that the next time you treat one of them like crap.

Any affordable brands for Derbies? AE is expensive right now. I can definitely understand them being a better choice for Chinos and Jeans since they are considered more casual although I don't think there is anything wrong with Cap Toes as long as you wear them with slacks. Mine also feature a tiny amount of broguing so they aren't limited to just formal. I plan on returning to the thrift store but I've always been a bit cautious about 2nd hand shoes just like avoiding underwear from there for reasons that are obvious..lol. Nice job on the content as always. You're doing a good thing for all the older gentleman. If my grandpa and uncle watched TH-cam I would tell them about you even though they actually do dress decently. In all honesty I lurk around the channel but no worries when I turn 40 I'll officially subscribe:)

In the Spring, I dated a woman who is 32, I'm 48. I was surprised how well it worked, but it got a little weird at times when I would bring up things from the 80's to mid-90's, and she would joke, "I wasn't born yet!" I eventually broke it off. I can't put my finger on what it was exactly, but my feelings were not progressing. It certainly gave me hope that I don't need to pursue women in their 40's/divorced/parent of kids. I can actually be appealing to younger, single women if I don't overthink it.

does it really matter WHEN something happened? a funny story is funny because of WHAT happened, not when it happened. every time you reference something by date, you reinforce your age difference. so dont do it. that will keep you and her both focused in the present and future, which is what truly matters.

    • @seanc546

It's the difference between being raised with a phone in your hand and not. Every generation prior to this actually socialized. That's the key to growth. My advice to Gen Z is to never be on your phone. Only use it for phone calls only. No texts. Wait for something to be worthy of a conversation instead. And your home should be for sleeping only, loll. Be out in the world !!

Regarding Collars & Co., how good are the fit of their shirts & trousers? Example: if I normally wear a medium polo/ shirt or trousers with a 32/ 33" waist, can I expect their items to fit without having to go to the tailor?

Collars & Co does have a ni e collar/ shirt. However, they have multiple colors 67+ which 60 are useless . They rarely have ( I’ve never seen it) , brown, tan, sage green ( solid colors enough with the polka dots, stripes stars Etc). They showed a nice grey ( SOLID praise the lord) shirt which was unavailable in every size but small. I responded to being notified when available in my size . Weeks went by , I was notified, the same one small size ( no medium or any other size) was only available…. Why notify me? This happened three additional times. I attempted to contact them…. fell on deaf ears. They DO NOT have their act together.
Advice : do what you say!
Request: please get normal mainstream colors that will not look like you are from the 1970s.
