As a beginner and looking for point and shoot capabilities, are we better off to choose this DSLR camera or a compact premium expensive camera like Sony RX100 or Panasonic tz200 ?
It really depends on multiple things and it's quite personal. You have to ask for yourself what you want and need. For instance a point and shoot is convenient and small. Really good to capture things on the go with better quality (mostly) than that from smartphone. A DSLR or Mirrorless camera is usually quite bigger but also more geared towards individuals that wants to do more with the photos. So you have to ask for yourself: What do I want?
Thanks @Gary Jahman ! more than the size and zoom which I don't mind carrying a bit heavier camera, my priority is all around picture quality in general, in low light and image stabilization.. in other words if I point and shoot a picture (Landscape & Portrait) , am I better off buying an entry level DSLR like D3400 which has Auto shoot mode or better off buying a premium level compact camera like RX100 or ZS200 ? any pointers will help please on moving towards an entry level DSLR Vs Advanced P&S compact camera for a casual Auto shoot capability

You're welcome 😁 A friend of mine has the 5600D and that one is more advanced than the 3500D. Both are really good choices so you cannot go wrong with either of them. Maybe you can start with D3500 to learn all the basics and see what you like to photograph. And when you feel like you need to upgrade then you can always do so. If you like the ergonomics of Nikon/Canon then don't go with Sony. Hope this helps!
I bought last autumn gx80 as my first camera. I love the size and portability. Got few mft lenses for it. Only thing that bothers me is low light and night photography performance. Recently I've saved in Facebook marketplace this camera. Someone wants £375 for it. Would there be noticeable difference in image quality when comparing noise in d3500 and gx80? I'm not looking to swap the system. Just second body.
If you'd use the same settings for your aperture, iso and shutter speed then yeah you will see a reduction in noise. So you can shoot at higher levels of those three and maintain a lesser noise image.
Great video! Glad you mentioned the A6000. I currently have the D3500 and i like it, but was considering picking up the Sony since it's priced really good right now. Concern is it's 6 years old already. Even being that old, the A6000 is an upgrade compared to the D3500?

The D5600 is a great photography camera not sure about the video. If you want a true hybrid camera from Nikon than the newer Z cameras will be better
