I played some of the last rounds played on this course in early 2009. It was a nice course and that was a good summary and drone work. Thanks for posting it.

Fantastic job with this overview. My wife said your voice is like a professional announcer. :).
I grew up playing this course, and as you know we played our High School matches on the front 9. Tom Fazio did a super job on this design, and bravo to Jack Breno and the Slutsky family for building such a fantastic 18 hole course. I've played a lot of golf around the US, and this course holds up against any of them. Lot's of shot making needed on the back 9.
My top holes: #6 from the back tee, #14 down the hill, and #8 (par 3) down the hill.
Fun fact: I walked 54 holes in 1 day on this course, my goal was to break 50 for 9 holes and I sure did.
Do you know what Ellenville legend made a hole in one on the par 4 #16?
T'hank you again for the trip down memory lane. RIP Nevele Golf Course, and thank you!

Thanks! It was such a great Golf course! I wanted to capture what was left before it was all gone. Those of us who were lucky enough to play it like us remember how great it was! If I had to guess on the Ellenville legend...... Mr. Jordan?? thanks for the comment!

Played with Mr. Jordan a bunch when I worked there. He might have told me that story. You were a few years older than me. You know my family. @@robkantor7917

Did You find any of my old Golf balls?!?
Man, This was an Epic Drone footage & an surreal experience... That #16-Hole was my worst enemy & greatest accomplishment, when I hit over the water, cleanly.
Thank You Ryan. Seriously Outstanding drone work. Greatly appreciated, Brother.

Wasn't looking for balls on this trip. Thanks! Brought back some great memories making this one! What a place it once was!!

I recall driving past the resort many times in the 70s with my parents on our way to Ice Cave Mountain. Spectacular place. I saw it in horrible ruins the last time I went up to Ellensville back in 2021. New York was full of these wonderful resorts. Cheap airline tickets and cruise vacations killed off those fancy hotels.

As a veteran of 10 years as a liftee in the winter and golf course staff during the summers. Bear Mountain has a 9 hole golf course at 7,000", driving range and pro shop, etc. Fun times! Back in 2001 to 2011. Onward!

Another great video on Nevele. What years was this resort in operation? Ironic that there is an operating resort next to this one. Thanks!

RTJ did the Fallsview. Which was the blue course on the score card at the beginning. Just flew the drone around the Nevele.
