Thats a very well put together scooter. Great video mate thanks for taking the time to put it together.
Thank you, Tony! It’s definitely a tank haha.
Thanks for the detailed review. This video helped me make a purchase decision. I have the scooter now and can confirm that the front tire is installed backwards. Looking forward to that tire change video!. This scooter is solid and stable. I'm a 240lb rider and It handles great and stops very well also. One really annoying thing however, is that both the included manual and online pdf manual state that there is a Cruise Control Setting. The cruise control DOES NOT work. I would appreciate if anyone knows a way to enable cruise control on the EMOVE Cruiser v2.
Thank you! I have been meaning to test cruise control out but I’ve been distracted lately. I’m going to see if I can get it to work this week.
That latch could break after a while as there is a lot of leverage acting on it when carrying this heavy scooter folded. Good that you spotted the backward fitted front tyre. I like this scooter and it is on my shopping list when it becomes legal to ride one where I live.
Yah that small piece of metal has a lot on its shoulders for sure. I’ll see how it holds up. I plan to load this into my car and take it to a bunch of different riding spots.
Nice video. I can see my self swapping the battery for a larger capacity one lol. There is quite a good amount of space in the deck. 😎👌
Haha! Yah man, lots of space in there for more. I’m really liking this thing as a single motor scooter. May have to try it on that 23% grade course.
Great look at this scooter Tom! The best yet for sure and I can't think of anyone who's going to cover it in more detail than that! Call me cheesy but I really like chevronish styled and brushed look of that folding latch. That's some fairly advanced level marketing there and really makes that scooter unmistakable... kind of like the grill badge on an automobile. It's hard to tell the size and gauge of the folding mech pieces but I'm impressed that little tab of metal can support the weight of that scooter with all the leverage on it. It was brow raising but I know Voro likely did their longevity testing on it. Good stuff here Tom. Thanks for all the work! Thumbs/likes everywhere man!
Thanks, man! Yeah, that folding mechanism stands out compared to most other scooters. We'll see how the metal tab holds up over time. Based on the videos they published of their testing, I know they put these things through quite a bit of abuse, so we'll see. I've been thoroughly enjoying it so far. It's got about 140 miles on it right now, and I'm happy I don't have to charge it all the time, haha.
Hello tom. Amazing overview of the scooter. Thank you for your honesty. 😎
Thanks, Chris! 😊
The option to upgrade to a dual motor scooter is one of the main reasons why I bought it. Well, that and the massive battery.
The tail light cover on the scooter could’ve been sealed a little bit better but having the actual light unit being pretty well sealed inside I can sort of forgive it but it is annoying having grass and dust buildup.
Yah, having the flexibility of upgrading instead of having to buy a whole new scooter is huge. More companies need to do this.
I may cutout a thin silicone gasket for that light cover. Arizona is a dusty place and I can see that thing taking dirt samples from all the places I ride lol.
Good recommendation on your own hex keys. Also, there isn’t enough clearance to work on the brakes w/ the tool provided.
Cons of this scooter, as a Cruiser S owner. The weight of this V2. 80 lbs is too much to lug up and down my apartments stairs. And these brakes? Same ones on the old Cruiser, and they suck.
Great to know! I’ll keep an eye out on the brakes as I rack up the miles. Any maintenance or general issues you’ve seen with the brakes? Yah 80lbs is a lot of scooter to lug up stairs.
@ Back brake got real weak, had to adjust. Finicky. Front disc brake rotor started slicing after going over a bump/braking hard. Had to adjust. Have to change the brake pads fairly often. They’re just finicky and stopping power is questionable, yet I totally locked up my front brake easily and have lifted up the back end a few times and went over the handlebars another, not doing anything crazy. Be ready to shift your weight back and ease on the brakes. Possibly another reason they added the back plate(!?)
Although the additional weight of this V2 may help stabilize it a bit more(?).
Def ride safe everyone!
Thanks for sharing! Yah I’ll definitely put them to use and see if I end up running into the same issues or not. It looks like the dual motor upgrade kit will also come with new brakes.
Why is there NO video of the dual motor version?
Be wary buying from Voromotors. I bought an EMove Cruiser and the handlebars were not fully threaded. This caused the handlebar to come loose while riding. Customer support told me that the handlebars are not covered under warranty and I would have to purchase new parts myself to fix the problem.
Is that the version with collapsable handlebars?
@ Yes
The only downside to this scooter is the battery is semi removable,I love my AUSOM gallop.i got 300 miles on it so far.😊
Removable batteries are awesome 😎. Makes it easier to put it in the back of the car when you remove the battery.
