As a straight woman, I vow to be an ally in the best way that I can - to speak up for the voiceless & to dispel negative impressions some have of the LGBTQIA+ community.

When I try to correct them in the most respectful way I know, I get the usual “bakit ka ba affected? may gf ka no?” or “mali kasi yun eh” WTF dismissive agad, no room for discussion. I pity them also, kasi napakakitid ng utak nila.

Kasi mas malakas ang impact satin ng reaction ng mga mas close satin na lagi natin nakakasama kesa sa mga taong hindi natin kilala. Hindi man tayo tanggapin ng mga taong hindi natin kilala walang mawawala sa atin. Pero kapag yung mga taong pinakakatiwalaan mo nagiba tingin sayo masyadong masakit yun.
Same ate girl, same. I try to teach my family and friends to check their privelege. Di porket people have different preferences, mababa na or maiba na tingin mo sakanila. We are all humans. Acceptance above all. ❤️

Plus contraceptives/condoms can prevent unwanted pregnancies. Kaya andaming teenage pregnancies kasi wala sa curriculum ng maraming eskewelahan ang sex education, lalo na sa mga catholic schools. Harmful pa yung indoctrination na celibacy ang most effective way para di mabuntis kasi di naman lahat santo and mostly mapusok talaga kaya Ke
kelangan ieducate ang youth talaga kasi atleast kung magintercourse man, alam na ang measures and protocols to practice kasi the risks of unprotected sex is so high talaga lalo na pag ignorante ka sa issues in terms of sexual health. Now more than ever, kelangan talagang ipush sa mga eskewelahan ang sex ed. Oo, saradong katoliko ang Pilipinas pero mas pipilliin mo bang maging mangmang o maging mulat? Hindi lahat sumasubscribe sa marriage first before sex. Karamihan sa atin, lalo't lalo na sa mga kabataan at LGBTQIA cant afford to be married. Ok lang sana kung stable at handa na pero wala rin tayong karapatan eh. So papano na? Sexual health is important. Huwag na tayong magpakaipokrito kasi ang taas na ng cases ng hiv sa Pinas. If we dont face this head on, the cases will just surge. So why not maximize our resources to prevent it diba? Prevention is better than cure lalo't lalo nang walang cure. Stay protected and f*ck responsibly.

As someone who has experienced protected and unprotected intercourse, iba naman talaga ang feeling ng skin-to-skin contact versus putting a barrier in between.
But, the risks always outweigh the benefits of doing things bareback. Thank you to the tean of Jan, Einj, Adea, & Maui for making one of the most difficult topics candid instead of too serious. Job well done, as always!

I don’t think there’s a wrong way of how to celebrate Pride but we shouldn’t forget why it started. I am happy they are aware that it was a protest. But they left out a very important detail. It was a call to action about the police brutality towards people of color in the LGBTQIA++ community. But thanks for talking about the homophobia embedded in our society! We need more of these!
There's also a need to elaborate that people who have contracted HIV can still have a long life. It's no longer a death sentence unlike the 90's. There are now medications available in the Philippines that can help people with HIV to be undetected. Undetected meaning they will be unable to transmit the virus to their partner and not succumb to the virus.
