My dad had an old slot car track and sometimes he would get it out and let us play with it. Fun memories. I doubt he still has it, he’ll be 70 this year.
Luigi and his annoooying brother… like you don’t even know where he is at all and he’s chasing the princess all the time, doesn’t he know Bowser is her cousin? Luigi’s nice, only time he got everyone in trouble was with that hotel, but that’s not his fault really.
So many talented patrons! Man I would have loved this as a kid! Who am I kidding I love it NOW! Would also 10/10 be deliberately zooming mario off the edge
Well done, Boylei! I'm almost 65, and I have fond memories of racing slot cars at home and at commercial tracks back in the day. You're right about those 'guard rails' being almost useless. (You could always tell which car was a kid's favorite due to the number of 'repairs' from falling off the track so many times . . . .) Thanks for sharing this with us, and have a Happy July 4th! 391st Like.
Combining my favorite childhood Christmas gift with my favorite video game ever?!!! Nothing but joy watching this incredible build ❤️❤️ Thanks Boylei!!
Fantastic video as always, Boylei! And thanks for doing the monthly art challenge. What a fantastic Patreon perk to have a community event viewers can participate in.
Loved the video! Awesome build! But I got a small tip Boylei, next time you sand a foam shape like that you should either have some good grip gloves, insert a small grip in the foam on the side you're not sanding, or use a stationary machine. My woodwork teacher in elementary school told us to never work with power tools like that. He would have been livid had he seen you do that.
Now thats a cool slot car track! Makes me want to do something with mine from when i was a kid. As always another great video, thanks for the inspiration.
I don't know specifically what mushrooms the Kingdom mushrooms are based on, if any, but if you find yourself doing some again....an interesting touch might be to make the white areas puffy and raised like amanita! They almost look like flecks of some foreign substance sprinkled on top on some of them. Might help with the red/white line I guess is what I'm thinking :)
2:54 "... One thing the small cup *_could_* handle though is..." I'm so used to hearing terrible TH-cam sponsor segways, I swore a segway is what was coming up next.
I'm not a person who does art or can make a diorama but I love watching your videos which all of them come out great. Now subscribed keep up the awesome work and looking forward to more great videos.
I discovered you since I'm a fan of dioramas and Star Wars. Now, I've alo grown up with Mario Kart and it just happens that I'm currently in a slot track period. Just took mine out of the cardboard box a few weeks ago and planning to build a table and environment around it soon. So that very video looks strangely specific to me, and I wouldn't mind you trying some more slot tracks in the future !
Looks awesome. Though, game wise the crossing pieces are badly placed. The player starting on the outside has a 90° inner turn, while the player on the inside has a 630°(not a typo) advantage. If you can go faster through the outside because it's less steep, you have the opposite..
Really cool! Would have been awesome to have some powerup boxes suspended, where they could bump into. Don't know how that would have worked, but I'm sure you could have figured it out!
Here is some folklore for you in Colorado. There was a “creature” found in 1877 known as the solid Muldoon creature. Is it true or is it a hoax. Big thing back then.
Great looking track, beautiful build as always, but a bit unfair to race... One car is always on the outside track and the other is always on the inside track, except for the small piece between the two crossing panels
Hey bro I enjoy watching your build they inspired me to build my first diorama. I would luv for you to show it on your page and also give me your feed back on it.
We bought the Mario Carts slot car set a few years ago (same one as you have here), and had many hours of enjoyment with it. Love the layout and has inspired me to try something similar! Have you ever noticed Mario’s cart is always faster than the other carts you can get?
Pretty cool, though I think some much needed details you could still add is a few coin blocks around the outside and a floating Lakitu waiting to help them. :D
I've been down in the dumps lately, i love making things. your content has helped me get back on my feet and now I've resumed doing what i love. Thank you.
Imma be real I really needed this. Today was exhausting and I was feeling really out of it. This video helped me feel better. Awesome work on the track. Reminds me that I can be creative like this too. have a great day!
Great build, but for it to be fair play, the crossing parts should be separated alot further apart. The way it is set up now, one car spends the whole track on the inside of the turns, and the other on the outside (apart from one turn), which means one track is considerably shorter.
Aw this is so fun. My girlfriend has been out of town for two weeks and one of her favorite games is Mario Kart. So this definitely has me even more excited for her to get home soon. 💙
Maybe the sheer size of this one made me only think this now, but where and how do you store all of these? Are they later gifted, sold, or do you have a massive bunker under the house?
"because the larger cup holds more" ah yes mysterious crafting wizard, thank you for blessing us with your wiz-dom!
🤯
Everytime this dude uploads my boredome is lost for 10 minutes
What's it feel like being a gold fish? God help us all.
@@jeramy9787i wish i was a fish
I could shake all of the arms of a friendly octopus 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
So agree with you buddie
Welcome to the Bore Dome! Home of the Mush Room!
I would 100% go to a gallery / art show that was just all your dioramas.
Agreed
oh yah, for sure
My dad had an old slot car track and sometimes he would get it out and let us play with it. Fun memories. I doubt he still has it, he’ll be 70 this year.
My dad is also almost 70 and still has his from childhood, he let me play with it as a kid but by now it's a fragile antique lol
I’m 60 and still have my Aurora slot car set. I need to dig it back out.
Worth asking? Sounds like a fun bit of nostalgia to scratch and I bet if you have fond memories of it then he does too :)
@@Sally4th_ yes i’m taking my kids to visit my parents next week so i will ask him about it.
When he said "Luigi and his brother" that made me so happy
Luigi and his annoooying brother… like you don’t even know where he is at all and he’s chasing the princess all the time, doesn’t he know Bowser is her cousin?
Luigi’s nice, only time he got everyone in trouble was with that hotel, but that’s not his fault really.
holy crap, the patreon builds are INCREDIBLE!! the forza barn find, stardew traveling merchant, and unravel two builds were my favorites :D
I'm editing the barn find video right now. It should be up by the end of the week.
So many talented patrons!
Man I would have loved this as a kid!

“Luigi and his brother” is so real

*Mental note - larger cups hold more!* That Red Rocket gas sign was fantastic!

boylei, could you kitbash some Warhammer figures for a helldivers diorama
Would love to see a Indiana Jones build by this guy
Loved the video! Awesome build!

Next project: Rainbow Road
Awesome idea, thank you for your amazing work.
Wait wait wait wait... Are we just going to gloss over this??? 7:57
Boylei definitely gives a great idea for turning a boring race track into an awesome themed race track
I loved playing with these tracks when I was little, I had the cast of lighting McQueen and my dad and I would race most weekends.❤ happy memories.
I wish I had one of those (I'd probably get the Cars stuff too if I'm being honest, or Mario Kart)
Now thats a cool slot car track! Makes me want to do something with mine from when i was a kid. As always another great video, thanks for the inspiration.
This is awesome, and love the patron builds. GundaMario needs to be a thing!
09:03 fantastic humour
Boylei could build the Taj Mahal with 3 tooth picks, a bar of soap, and a marble.

Sorry, I’ll have to request it, please make rainbow road and/or bowser’s castle. Give the people what they want
Man if you was just gonna do a circle you should’ve designed it like baby park frm double dash
This is awesome, and amazing patreon's builds awesome work 😺🤘

Huh. Literally playing Forbidden West as this came up
Well that's different, very cool concept. Didn't even know mario kart slot cars existed, although not surprised either. Awesome job
I'm not a person who does art or can make a diorama but I love watching your videos which all of them come out great. Now subscribed keep up the awesome work and looking forward to more great videos.
Missed opportunity for a chain chomp or bullet bill
When are you doing another wild west building?!
ok but this with peaches castle would be awesome just sayin
Have a great weekend everyone!
You should try do like rainbow road. Thatd be sooo cool
Man thankyou so much for highlighting slot cars on your channel...top tier legend
How are they moving on the track? I am dying to know now
Slot cars are some of the most wonderful things ever.
Masterful work Boylei! Amazing detail.
Wow! Slot cars and model building! Two of my favorite hobbies! A match made in heaven! Thanks BHT!
NOOOOOOO
THE PLURAL OF LEGO IS LEGO!!!
I have to see a rainbow road version next
Lol, awesome! 😄👍🏻
Your my favourite TH-camr

Fun overall but I was impressed by the racing sequences. Was that Richard Petty causing the final collision? Thanks.

I love ur vids. They are the best ❤

😁😁😁 yeah so cool, beautiful idea 🔥😎👍🏼
My four thumbs up.....nice job, and perfect idea...you should do that tunel like green Mario tube😊
I was expecting something ...grander (no idea why ..i saw the thumbnail 😂) still very cool though
great work Boylei, took a track from fun to epic. and have to say great work to the patrons. They did great work.
Great looking track, beautiful build as always, but a bit unfair to race... One car is always on the outside track and the other is always on the inside track, except for the small piece between the two crossing panels

Really cute, but that curve is treacherous! Could you do something from Doom? That would be sick.
Luigi the GOAT 💪🐐🟢
total 360 from you're usual stuff.....,but,i really dig it!nice work
I read Mario and Slot Car, and instead of thinking of Mario Kart, I only thought of Slot Car Derby from Mario Party 🤣
That was really fun 🎉🎉
"Nintendo sues TH-camr with 100 quintillion and a life sentence for customizing slot car racing track for Mario"
No red turtle shell? Boo! Cool build. For a ten minute video once a week, my anticipation for these videos is crazy.

@Boylei, I see that you had as much fun causing crashes and derailments at intersections as my brother and I did with our N-scale train set...
Great build, but for it to be fair play, the crossing parts should be separated alot further apart. The way it is set up now, one car spends the whole track on the inside of the turns, and the other on the outside (apart from one turn), which means one track is considerably shorter.
You should sculpt a couple of banana peels out of clay and place them on the track where they won't interfere. Nice job!
Great work! I like the idea. But what do you think about to paint the racetrack greyish? I think would fit
I don't even like Mario kart... BUT THIS IS AWESOME!
H
what did you ever do with this race track afterwards, i don't want it or anything, i was just wondering, nice job !!
I hope Nintendo lawyer's don't come knocking at your door in the next few days.
Aw this is so fun. My girlfriend has been out of town for two weeks and one of her favorite games is Mario Kart. So this definitely has me even more excited for her to get home soon. 💙

How can I play with my new slot car set but not seem like a 12 year old................ 💡💡💡
Orbital sander + light weight and difficult to hold object = fingies roulette
Absolutely fantastic content! I am amazed at what you can create from a toy, some foam, and paper tubes 🤩
@2:30 "larger cups hold more." I learn something new every time I watch the latest video. 😄
Another great video, just to let you know your pin badge made it over to the UK yesterday, thanks
I love your videos you’re videos are like those professional cooks who make it look so easy but it’s actually really hard
It’s only missing a Lakitu and a small crowd of toads, shyguys, and miis at the finish line
I think you should use the mini cars from the model shop for a sinking ship with cars on it, and it is getting attacked by sea monsters
Nice muscles
What super glue do you use for foam?
(I don't see it on your Amazon list)
A very cheerful build!
That is really awesome, you really brought Mario Cart to life.
👍👍👍
Awesome!
Great idea with this one
I wanna make something cool. What's the next thing to build next month?
This was so silly and beautiful I love it! Will you make any pipe plants?
Please wear gloves while sanding something. Its really dangerous
That was a great build. Your patreons did an awesome job at the art challenge too.
