  • Let's walk around Cividale del Friuli, a pictoresque small town in the Province of Udine, part of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of north-eastern Italy.
The town was founded by Julius Caesar in 50BC, and named Forum Julii, from which the whole Friuli region took its name.
It was an important regional power, but today it's a quiet, small town that attracts tourists thanks to it's medieval center.
The most famous feature of Cividale is of course the fifteenth-century bridge crossing the Natisone River, which was named "Ponte del Diavolo" (Devil's Bridge).
