I've been eating this way for 8 years (vegan for 12), and at nearly 60, I really feel the benefits. I'm doing well, and exercise is also key-weight-bearing exercises, Pilates, and walking are especially important as we age. I have an excellent marriage and aim for 7 hours of sleep, though that's the hardest part for me. What’s also hard is seeing family members who aren’t doing as well. Despite our efforts to show them how we eat-no alcohol, a healthy vegan diet-they don’t fully embrace or believe in it. It’s tough watching them struggle. Chef AJ, your TH-cam channel is a reminder that we’re not alone. You’re helping so many stay on track, even when surrounded by people who push unhealthy habits on us. My husband is particularly strong about setting boundaries, especially during occasions like Christmas, with all the bad food and excessive booze. He’s firm about saying, "Don’t cater for me." We all need to watch out for food and booze bullies-don’t let them win!
I woke up extra early and this segment popped up on my phone. I realize I needed this information. My husband and I are both ill and almost 70. This information gives me Hope, which is very uplifting. He was in the hospital right before Thanksgiving with a leg infection. He was as on IV antibiotics for a week. While there he was diagnosed with advanced liver disease and a failing aortic heart valve. I couldn’t believe how unhealthy he is! I am helping him wrap his leg daily. He can’t have his heart repaired until his leg heals. He has avoided doctors for years but he also ate terrible. Just the hope I gained from this video is exactly what I needed for the both of us. If eating well helps at all it will be tremendous! Also the science behind creating new habits is key information at our ages. That perseverance leads to success. Awesome!
Love Dr Goldner. So positive and informative. Thank you. Chef AJ, you look and sound great! Lots of love and hugs to you! Happy holidays and happy New Year!
Fantastic guest. I was just listening to a program about quantum science. Talking about the neurological system. I’m sitting here watching this video eating a box of chocolates that I swore to myself I wouldn’t do because I ate too many yesterday and felt sick. She mentioned it has to be something that you’ve had enough pain to want to change. The thing that caused me much pain was finances, so that’s the thing I will stick to and never be in debt again. I know that for sure. Even though food has caused some issues, I work hard are eating well, so I guess falling off occasionally, I can accept that. Thanks so much. She is an excellent guest. I will check her videos out. Now, back to my chocolates. ❤️
One big question. I know they say don't use frozen veggies. Does that mean don't buy them frozen because they have been blanched? Is it ok to go to Costco and fresh get power greens and freeze some so it can last the whole week without getting slimy? Or will freezing some of my fresh greens degrade the nutrition to such an extent that it should not be done? Does anyone know Dr. Goldner's opinion on this question? Has she addressed this in one of her videos?

How does someone following a raw food diet as recommended by Dr Goldner get protein? Greens contain very little protein and we all need protein on a daily basis.
Oh my, such pretty colors. :-) You look so soft, like a flower.

Would love to know what insulated bottles Dr. Goldner uses for drinking her smoothies.
