Thank you. Very clear and complete instructions. It's been years since I had a timing belt driven water pump. Didn't like them then and won't like it now. But, with good information the job goes easier.
Before you start make sure u have 6:00 , crank special tool 19mm special socket, water pump and timming belt kit etc... and do marks on dead center when you get to timming belt very important
@@goochemane50 i was very confused about it too... sorry you dont need it, after calling Honda Mechanic they said just take off tensioner and that's what i did , just gettting the Timming belt back in dead center was a little pain... make sure to make marks on old and new in exact place dead center ... then after put those tensioners ,.... TH-cam video is unclear about it , you will have trouble with belt being tight but if you do it this way it will work... also watch other videos. Another one is .th-cam.com/video/85iI5dUE7wQ/w-d-xo.html .. watch couple to compare if unclear , 2003 honda pilot is a little different too...
The actual time you show the water pump itself is about 20 seconds of a 14:47 video. The other stuff is helpful but it'd be nice to see the front side of the water pump and know how many bolts it has and their locations. Its almost impossible to see them with the engine in the car and that was the whole reason I watched them video. And that was never shown.
Weird question the bolt on the top left area on the mounting bolt holes on mine I tried to clean out it but liquid came down thru that little cracked hole is that normal I know it’s hard to explain but I can send pics
What was that bolt you had to cut off? If you can please give the part name and number that would be cool. I have to do this same repair soon on my 07 pilot.
The bolt that he cut was the bolt from his bolt drawer that he used to compress the idler gear/hydraulic. It's just a spare bolt used to compress. It doesn't go on the car. M6x1.0 is the size. There is no part number, it's just a standard hardware store bolt used to aid in getting belt off.
1:01 that’s impact wrenches. I advise smaller tools for all novices especially those that don’t know the name of their tools. Bigger means possible damage to whatever the tool is being used on. Better to damage tool than a vehicle.

By tensioner bolt you mean the damper holding tool right? That comma is throwing me off

Got it
You rock man. This video is the best one I’ve seen yet: very professional too

Just go lookup the water pump at AutoZone and take a look at it.
He said it was about 10, 10 mm bolts
Can you provide a list of tools needed please?

Very clear video, I'd love to do it to mine but don't have the resources.
How much would you charge to do a job like this?
Thanks!! EXCELLENT VIDEO!!
Very good video!!!

@@JM-yx1lm you're amazing 👏
Remind viewers. They need to add any cool lost as well

Thank you so much. 👍👍👍
Okay I'm not the only one who cleans parts before reassembly.
WTF? A water pump driven by the timing belt?! Wow this job just got A LOT more complicated. If I'm ONLY doing the water pump, what has to be removed?
You make that look to easy lol
Not gonna lie, this makes me want a different car. Do the work yourself or pay a mechanic a ridiculous amount of money to replace a $40 part
Need to change out that vtec solenoid it looks rusty lol u can go to junk yard and just hide it in your tools lol
This is timing belt
