I wonder, with all the reoccuring hits to these towers, would there not be some sort of way to harness the energy that the lightning must carry? Sort of like storing leftover or excess energy from a solar panel.

there's just so many other ways to gather electricity then our current (no pun intented) systems. I think the more we lean towards green the better off we will all be, and the easier It'll be to sleep at night knowing we're doing the right thing.

Yeah it's a conductor, and it's connected to the ground so it's doesn't electrocute the building itself.

Most lightning photographs aren't taken quickly, but the film is exposed for an extended duration. But yes, it probably would have sold quite well ^_^
