Very nice looking collection thus far 👍, that must have been a great show, looked like a lot of cool stuff . You did a good job. I think you might be able to make the Heer infantry NCO's visor cap display nicely on a mannequin if you do it just right.. it kinda has a crusher look to it im a way. Idk, just a thought of what I would probably do.. but whatever! Anyway, I've been collecting for a while now and It's nice seeing a new fellow collector join the ranks. Welcome.
wouldn't necessarily consider this rookie status, a lot of great stuff here man. excellent medals, especially the iron crosses. this stuff is so expensive now a days i think its better to buy something more affordable if its mint vs. something more desirable in average condition
Thank you so much for the comment and compliments.yes expensive is right. However it’s the one thing other than a home I’ve invested in that I thoroughly enjoy. However Im a big history guy and Wittman got me hooked on daggers/makers
Started collecting in 1968 when my father who was a WW2 combat vet gave me a silver panzer badge and a stickpin that he brought back. My advice to new collectors is to buy from long time reputable sellers that 100% guarantee the items that they sell are authentic for life. The high-tech fakes are abundant, and this is why I only buy from long time dealers that I know and trust.
Awesome collection i to collect world war militaria helmets, empty casings and other bits however my main focus is medal currently I own 11 medal First world war medals: Iron cross 2nd class Hindemburg cross British victory medal French cross Ww2 medals: 1939-45 star Atlantic star Africa star Pacific star War medal And war merit cross Aside from that I have some individual medals such as an East German Fur treue dienste medal and a 1899 boar war medal. You have an awesome collection lots of history
Thank you for your subscription. My experience with this frame job was simple in that the flag actually fit almost perfectly. I’ve had other experiences with different flags that did not fit so well. That said, a little proper folding solves that problem more times than not. Do measure out your flags prior to purchasing the frame so you know what you’re looking for.
The dealers that I have known for a long time that I consider reputable are Tom Wittman, Ltc. Johnson, Bill Shea at The Ruptured Duck. There are 2 sources in Canada as well that sell to US collectors, Lakeside Trader & The Collectors Guild.
Great collection!!
Thank you! I appreciate the comment.
Thanks for sharing!
I have a wonderful SS leader dagger with the chain-SS & ☠️ sic!
I would have to say it’s the crown jewel of my collection.
👍
That’s cool. Hoping to get one of those in the near future
Outstanding, my first dagger was a SS enlisted dagger by Robert Klass, bought in 1968 for $75.00.
