Im a sparky too and ive had a borescope on my wishlist for awhile now. I was at the wholesaler today and they were advertising these on sale ($45 CAD), and I had to grab one. Ive only just played around with it so far, but im quite impressed with the camera quality. Looking forward to actually needing to use it at work now.
I had the same problem at first where the picture didn't show up, I just had to unhook the camera and plug it back in, which then asked me if I wanted to let it connect to USB-C. I saw a few people give negative opinions of the product because they can't spend an extra 10 seconds to figure it out

I just bought Klein tools ET16 for $40 at home depot and it works great. Want to do some work around the house see behind the wall. Couple days ago I got a $20 borescope from Amazon then returned yesterday at Kohl I could NOT get work with any apps and with all devices no matter how hard I tried. Thanks for the video

@@brandonknight7240 one thing I learned when using the ET16 app make sure to completely shut off the app through settings or reboot the cellphone because my phone battery dead couple times shortly after the app.

Does klien have accessories like hooks and mirrors for the Et16 borescope and where I could find them.
Not that I know of. You could call Klein and ask though.
Maybe if you get it at Home Depot you could test it out in the store or right when you take it outside the store to see if it's compatible with your Android phone.

Try turning off your cell phone and turn it back on, then try. You could also call Klein.
surprisingly cheap; a bit thin on features maybe? I hope Klein adds a fatter, higher res camera too.
I was thinking the opposite, that I would like a smaller camera so that it could be used with old cast iron sink drain lines. But I do see where a bigger and better camera would be useful too. Thanks!

@@itssimplyreal It doesn't work for my Samsung Galaxy A12. But it DOES work with my Samsung J7 Crown, an older phone. It's definitely a software issue on their end that they're just not interested in updating for modern phones.
Will not work with any recent Android phone. I have s Pixel 6 for example and their software renders a black screen only.
I have the pixel 7 pro and can't get it to work either. Did you ever have any luck?

This one is for Android.
Klein Tools doesn't produce an Iphone compatible version of the ET16. Likely because they distribute the software (the app) from their website as opposed to an App Store. Apple charges a fee for App Store downloads and it's therefore highly unlikely Klein Tools will ever produce an Iphone compatible KT-ET16.
