She was young she was forced to be a woman is a lyric that hits home. When this song came out, I felt this emotionally. Reminded me of what I been through.
I think the guy went after him because he make her and the other girls that they are capable of defeating those guys and kinda open her eyes to reality then she saved him as a return to what he did for her that's my opinion .
I feel like this is how my husband sees me, all the things I went through that I told him, sexual abuse, physical abuse, psychological abuse and self destruction and for some reason my husband still sees the beauty in me that I didn't know was there.

I finally get it 😢 He saved her at her worst and she saved him at his worst. Literal partners in crime. Their love for each other is so so real 😢 I hope they find their way back to each other 😔♥️
A kind of, but it's not talking about Bella and Abel, it's about a woman who has been molestated by a man who is cold and unforgiving (as the song said) and Abel say to who is listening to the song, to treat the people who have been molestated nice and to not judge them. I think I said the meaning of this right, hope you're gonna understand it😅💚
@@alanawilson6104 really? Idk I personally thought Gigi was a little prettier, dont get me wrong they are both absolutely gorgeous, but after bella started looking unhealthily skinny she became a little less attractive in my opinion.
The symbolism in this whole video gives you a sense of deeper meaning to it all. I'm pretty sure the majority won't bother interpreting it, which connects to why The Weeknd says "I'm sure you don't understand" because the song isn't as shallow as what it may appear to be. He uses colors, symbols and females as a way to explain this allegory, like a social commentary on how life is viewed.
Well my interpretation of it all, falls under the psyche where he's being conflicted between his emotions. This can also be interpreted on a grandeur scale, based on how we live in a male dominated society and possibly the way females are treated in our modern times. I can go in-depth, but I'd have to write like a page of detail this whole video provided. If you want, I can but for now the general theme to me is : confliction, revenge, oppression, and love. The color red is extremely evident in this video and provides a sort of general idea of what the song may mean. He always has asians in his videos as well, so that may also play a part into the whole male driven society concept.
Shallow? The Weeknd has plenty of shallow lyrics, but this is not one of them. The story is in the lyrics. The video may have absolutely nothing to do with the lyrical story other than prostitution from an early age. Again, almost nothing in the lyrical story is tied to this video based on the evidence. If your saying that The Weeknd makes deep songs but they're only deep when paired with a music video, that is a problem to a lot of people. If one thought a song was shallow, why would they watch the music video? Having said that, the video itself is impressive, but I would say the lyrics could be interpreted in a different way to fit the video's narrative than the other way around. There's nowhere near enough story to derive this outcome, which means it could be an afterthought story to compliment a song.
+Matthew “The Original Black Bean” Gonzales I never implied his lyrics were shallow but that many may percieve it to be shallow. For example, many may see it that all he ever talks about is females and how they love him. Or perhaps how he has no heart and only uses his girls for sexual pleasure. But what I'm rather implying is that he means something deeper than that. Lyrically or visually, they both hold strong stories, tied or by themselves.

if u were smart u were hear the background beat that is the sample song from michael jackson song leave me alone. he even says he is inspired by michaels music.
So from what I understand - the woman played in the video by Bella was probably kidnapped by mafia boss and forced into prostitution/strippin' and taking drugs (actual lines about it "she was young and she was forced to be a woman" and "in the world without an end or beginnin/She was numb and she was so co-dependent", also there are lines describing the boss starting in the 2 verse). While working in the club she met Abel with whom she fell in love and started secret conspiracy against mafia running the club. She and other call girls/strippers working there slaughtered all the henchmen so they could run away. At the end the guy who kidnapped Bella as a child, tried to kill Abel for destroying his business but Bella took her revenge. Fin. It's a video made by BRTHR so it was made to be ambiguous.
+YourGirl_E Nicki Minaj's award winning song Anaconda is about he impowerment of thick woman all around the world. in the media with model, Actress's, and mostly everywhere in the entertainment business you see skinny woman. Nicki is speaking on behalf of the thicker woman. " don't want nun unless you got buns" that means you have to have some meat on you for me to want you. when she says the infamous "fuck the skinny bitches in the club" she's not actually saying fuck them. she's says forget them, its about thick beautiful woman in this song and I guess in the club. "he can tell I ain't missing no meals" is another example. maybe if you'd pay attention to the lyrics and read between the lines you would understand. Nicki is constantly getting bashed in the media for her thick curves and "not set to standards" body type. it's an empowerment for thick woman everywhere
I always saw In the Night as a dark 80s MJ song and this video highlights that very clearly! Hopefully he continues to make videos as creative as this. I kinda thought the days of unique videos like The Knowning was over.

A kind of, but it's not talking about Bella and Abel, it's about a woman who has been molestated by a man who is cold and unforgiving (as the song said) and Abel say to who is listening to the song, to treat the people who have been molestated nice and to not judge them. I think I said the meaning of this right, hope you're gonna understand it😅💚
@@alexia8413 very dad storie, thank god it happend rearly.

its a classic now
In reality it was quickly forgotten sad
5 years later and this is still the most iconic bella hadid masterpiece
Yeah she fir perfectly the aesthetic of the video
I still say that she prettier than Gigi
@@alanawilson6104 really? Idk I personally thought Gigi was a little prettier, dont get me wrong they are both absolutely gorgeous, but after bella started looking unhealthily skinny she became a little less attractive in my opinion.
@@Jbp-tbsh that’s the thing. Gigi is naturally beautiful. Bellas plastic surgery has her looking so grim looking
Imagine if Daft Punk, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars and Weekend in 1 song.

STILL A BANGER IN 2023
and 2024!!
+Fernando DeJesus could you explain more. Im aware most of his videos have storyline but Im struggling to figure this one out.
+Fernando DeJesus damn bruh you know your shit huh
BELLA HADID'S BEAUTY IS SO UNIQUE
this song gives me michael jackson vibes ✨✨

LYRICS HERE MY FRIEND
All alone she was living
In a world without an end or beginning
Baby girl was living life for the feeling
But I don't mind, I don't mind
And all the wrongs she committed
She was numb and she was so co-dependent
She was young and all she had was the city
But I don't mind, I don't mind
And I know that she's capable of anything, it's riveting
But when you wake up she's always gone, gone, gone
In the night she hears him calling
In the night she's dancing to relieve the pain
She'll never walk away (I don't think you understand)
In the night when she comes crawling
Dollar bills and tears keep falling down her face
She'll never walk away (I don't think you understand)
He sang a song when he did it
He was cold and he was so unforgiving
Now she dances to the song on the minute
Yeah, all the time, all the time
It make her weak when she hear it
And it got her on her knees like religion
She was young and she was forced to be a woman
Yeah, all the time, all the time
And I know that she's capable of anything, it's riveting
But when you wake up she's always gone, gone, gone
In the night she hears him calling
In the night she's dancing to relieve the pain
She'll never walk away (I don't think you understand)
In the night when she comes crawling

This is probably the best music video i have seen all year, it looks like a blockbuster movie. 2015 has been the year of The Weeknd
+Raeez Samsodien BBHMM was like a blockbuster movie as well and actually with a better story line and much more detailed
BBHMM was better, even if I like this song and this video, you can't deny it, BBHMM was epic!!!
Let's not forget Eminem phenomenal, now that video could've been a movie.
This has a definite 80s/early 90s vibe to it, in a good way.
+The Industrious they should either totally make a vid out of the remix of the hills or make a new song together and use the most awesome movie-like vid of all time!!!!!!!!
i was 15 and in high school when this album came out, i’m 24 now man time is a strange thing
everything about this song/video is just straight fantastic. the music, the colors, the horror, how the video was shot. 10/10

Thank you for explaining the video :) I was somewhat confused.
Stefan Monin actually it's about rape she experienced in a very young age, and later she couldn't be emotionally connected with anyone
and the villain is asian
gamestop butiaintplayingames no... it’s about Marilyn Monroe

Fun fact: In the night was inspired by Abel's visit to Marilyn's Monroe's mansion, specifically when he entered her bedroom.
every time i listen to the Weeknd its like he's telling a story
True
every song is a story
this one talks about a girl who became a stripper after being raped and has flashbacks of the person who did it.
+YourGirl_E a story about dick and ass
This is so underrated, deserves many more views!

I always saw In the Night as a dark 80s MJ song and this video highlights that very clearly! Hopefully he continues to make videos as creative as this. I kinda thought the days of unique videos like The Knowning was over.
If this were Michael Jackson's song in the 80's, it would’ve been very popular.
