Stick a section of pool noodle over the top edge of the hog panel so you have a place to get over it without ripping your pants. Zip tie it in place, if needed.
💚 Those three little pigs are cute...my, my are they quick! So full of grunts and snorts...they are noisy...and getting busy right away, do what pigs do! 💚
Really cute pigs. As much as they rooted in that short time yesterday, I think they won't be in that area for a whole month. LOL. Glad you have pigs back on the homestead doing the clearing and making bacon. Have a Blessed day.
I love the names hammy, bacon, and sausage too 🤣 you guys are sure busy morning, noon, and night. It's a real eye opener and education for anyone contemplating homesteading. ✌️😎👍✝️🙏💜🍁🥧🦃
Yeah!! Three little pigs, awesome looking forward to seeing them as thy move around your property. See the male might be your mischief one...Thanks for bringing us along.
We had three pigs clearing our forest this summer. They did a great job! We moved them around and just fenced them with two electrified wires after they were trained to it, and we never had a problem. Just butchered them this weekend, the biggest one was over 400 lbs. As long as they have enough to do and enough to eat, they will respect that wire.
The best thing you can have is the primer one pig fence (which I know you know lol). We used two wires until the pig fence came back in stock this year and those pigs got out ALL THE TIME. We finally got the pig wire in and it was amazing! They didn’t get out once, even when a tree knocked it down to the ground. They wouldn’t go over it. So worth it.
I showed my hubby your pig pen shelter on the last property and he finally agreed we can have pigs lol. We only have 2 acres and neighbors that complain about every thing. We haven't built it yet but its coming, lumber prices are better again and we actually have some old tin that came of an old building we took down 👍 We also considered pallets with the tin on the outside.
Time to move with those kinda neighbors you'd be better off somewhere else... Free to do what you want it's hard enough living that lifestyle with out nosey neighbors fighting you every inch.
I also found for myself that growing a garden in an old pig pen gave me the best tasting vegetables as well out of all the composts and manures I've used
The working crew has arrived ! Still in love with the other two . I guess they both serve a good purpose one will shred it for you and one will let it be .Great combo
I have Large Black pigs with a bit of Tamworth in them and they do not leave their fence. We have been using the premier one fences and they have been laying on the ground with no charge because we forgot to turn the fence on and they will still be in the fence. The only time we had a pig out was a night we forgot to turn on the fence and some wild pigs tried getting in and our boar got out while protecting his herd and once we could see in the morning he came and found us and walked right back in the fence after we opened it for him. I call them my 500 lb dogs.
Congrats on the newest members of your livestock. Looks like they will be a lively bunch. Take care of yourselves and THANKS for sharing your adventures with us.
Great job you guys, I love the show. You had mentioned you had the parts for a Ram pump. I think you should build it and see if it can help fill a reservoir near the top of your property, I'm glad you got the new pigs, they are the most fun to watch.
I really wouldn't keep them on that pasture if you don't want it torn up though Jason, move them onto those hard sections of your pasture to train them cuz atleast they'll disturb those spots and you won't care as much, they might even disturb it enough that they make grass grow in those spots.
Congrats on the new homestead members! Looking forward to your journey. Thanks for sharing and inspiring us all. Btw Jason when are you going to have that brown Sow the Land hat up on your Etsy Store? Love it! Need to get myself one.
JASON, did you ever see the motorized t-post ponders so you don't hurt your spine when pounding them into the ground? if you get one i think all the homesteaders that watch you & who live in the Asheville area will probably follow suit. yell me what you think?
We raise feeder pigs on our small homestead. They will be different in many ways from your small kunekunes. If you need any help or advice feel free to message us. We are always here to help fellow homesteaders!
My first thought for names would have been the 3 Stooges - Larry, Moe & Curly Joe. Kinda hard keeping a straight face when you're calling them by food names.
I know you said they are feeder pigs but have you considered keeping a girl for breeding ? Her mom had 13 and litter size usually follows the female side. At least in dogs
Hello! I have followed you for a long time, when you were on your 1.5 acre. We have loved learning from you, we also started on 1.5 acre and just 3 weeks ago moved to 20 acres. We wondered why you got larger pigs instead of adding to your kunekune herd to clear land? We are going to get pigs to clear our land but are wondering what breed to use.

Really cute pigs. As much as they rooted in that short time yesterday, I think they won't be in that area for a whole month. LOL. Glad you have pigs back on the homestead doing the clearing and making bacon. Have a Blessed day.
They'll do a great job clearning that fence line forest.

Pigs seem to be a tough livestock, are predators a concern when in the forest? Asked the city guy.
What an adventure! Thanks for bringing us along.

Lol, that's awesome, your new pigs have the same names as our 3 Kunes
We got our first pigs in July, and I can verify that pigs do escape.
Congratulations on the new forest clearers, they will do a good job!!

Congratulations on your addition 🐖🐖🐖
That little red pig is so adorable! I hope your forest has oak trees. They love acorns so much.

Loraine, you are getting so much stronger than when you first started homesteading.
Wow, they really tore up that ground in a short amount of time! It will be mud/dirt in a couple days
Cute piggies ❤
I enjoyed watching the video of the pigs escaping, it was so funny, great video guys 👍👍
Great music, as always. Thank you for the video.
If you throw a little bit of whole corn in the thorny spot or any place you want knocked down more, they will focus a lot more attention on that area.
We have the same piggers. In the woods clearing....hard to keep up! Excited to watch...they will root root really rooty well.
I had to LOL when you said..."I don't trust NO PIG!!!" LOL
i love that you strapped them down in the truck instead of just putting them in and go hugssssss
Sooo cute!! 🐷 🐷 🐷
They're very oinky! Good thing they're away from your house! 😁
Congrats on the newest members of your livestock. Looks like they will be a lively bunch. Take care of yourselves and THANKS for sharing your adventures with us.

When we raised pigs, we had our best luck with any two way cross. We tried registered Berkshire but they didn’t grow out well at all.
I like your Little Pigs. and theirs Names cute. have a great day you all
More pigs yay!!!
Just wondering if you are planning to use one of your stalls and having them in there on deep bedding over the winter?
Heya, new piglets love to have them I do

Good vlog.
Awesome beginning…
that is a smart way to transport the long metal pieces.
very nice place for pigs to life..
Minimum of 6 joules works on pig fence.
They should squeak loudly when shocked..
Solar fence will not keep them in.
You guys are doing great!
You guys are the coolest and so fun to watch! 😎 😎 😎
you have their names now ... Larry Curly Moe
Your new piggies are so cute looking. & its great you can tell them apart. what one is the boy? We know the brown one is a girl.
Piggies!
Soon as there bie enough thay will do a good job all the best 🇬🇧
Nice farm hands you hired on there.
Thanks 👍
My first thought for names would have been the 3 Stooges - Larry, Moe & Curly Joe. Kinda hard keeping a straight face when you're calling them by food names.
I wish we had some of your rain here!!
Premier 1 sells spiral panel connectors. I am a huge fan.
Ever considered hot wire for keeping the pigs in?
did you even watch the video?
I always used goats to clear land.
Great!
Too cute 🐖🐖🐖
JASON! Where do you find all your music for your videos!
Mageletas have the best lard.
Thems are fightn’ words!
Exciting!
Great Idea on getting more pigs but i dont remember any one of Three Stooges being named Bacon or Hammy LOL.😂
I know you said they are feeder pigs but have you considered keeping a girl for breeding ? Her mom had 13 and litter size usually follows the female side. At least in dogs
There gonna do a good job for you and make some good meat. So happy yall got some piglets.
Gloves would have been nice to make moving the crate less painful!.😉
Schnitzel siblinges :) but sausage siblings rolls off the tongue better
Cattle panels made a great rake! Lol
Sounds like you're next t-shirt ........"I don't trust no pig!"
I still have to build them a pen, that's the story of my life
