What's good about them is that they help poverty countries, aiding them with clean water. You can find more information in their website. I remember because I once wrote an article about companies that help the people in poverty countries.
It's still better though if you have like a Sawyer. In fact, multiple different types of filters. For instance, the safest thing to do is. Umuse, a there's like a special bag that you can get. That comes with a clip, and you clip the clip on that holds it tight so the water doesn't leak out. And then you put these tablets in there and that will make the dirt sink. It will grab under the dirt and make it. Settle down to the bottom and then you can normally you would like to do that multiple times or whatever, but you could only do that once and then to make sure that you save the life of your Sawyer but then you use like I saw your pump. To finish filtering it, then you just boil it to double. Check and make sure that it's completely clean. The boiling, it will make it completely safe. Now that you filtered out all of the tiny particular it's and everythand it will then be completely safe and you can use it for whatever you need to. But the lifestyle is a good like thing like for an absolute emergency like you know? For instance, you have a friend's sense. Say there is a nuclear bomb that was dropped. Not to say you would actually protect you if the water is nuclear league contaminated with like nuclear waste bit's gonna be. A lot more likely to protect you. Then trying to like filtered in everything cause it will just stop the nuki's stuff and then that way, you can like just get it far either away from you. But anyways, just a couple of scenarios, where it might be good thing to have that on handwhere the other would be better for like if you're going to be there for a long time. That would be a good, like short-term thing. We're like hopefully won't be around that long but. If you absolutely are like, for instance, it's like there's a week or 2 where your water is contaminated because of like you messed up. City water such as like the whole Flint, Michigan stuffthen a lifestraw would make it a lot more likely that it would be safe to drink. And then that way you wouldn't have to spend so much time filtering, like if you like really thirsty, you couldexist you use the lifestraw and then. After you get at least a little bit, then you can filter it and then boil it and then. But I would still say filtering and boiling is your best option. But the lifestyle will work, but it's not gonna be a 100% safe. Also, sorry. If there's any weird words that are misplaced and like don't make any sense. I use voice to text, so cause I'm not a very fast type or a very good speller.
For real. Many years ago, I carried a Pure Hydration Aquapure Traveller which is a similar product that does the same thing. Being lost due to the local I was with falling unwell while out in rural Nepal, one of these was super useful as we made our way back to civilisation which took longer than it should have. Under the hot sun, I just pitched our umbrella and stayed hydrated from a water source until it was cooler and safer to go back. This stream was warm to drink to get an idea of the temperatures. Turns out our other local friends were concerned about us as a heatwave had occured. I was defintely glad I had it with me that day, it saved me using the emergency sat phone to summon help that probably would have cost my insurance a fortune. Stopped an urgent situation potentially becoming a risk to life for us both. These lifestraws are small and can be put in any backpack, and when hiking could be super useful even if you had to dig your way to muddy water. They won't make seawater safe to drink as it doesn't remove the sodium. Therefore it won't save you at sea if you fell into issues, a solar still would be better for that purpose. With products like this, if you can you can go a step further and use a sock or fabric as a prefilter to extend the filter life of these items.
