- Join me for a little kitten haul! I bought lots of toys for Echo my ragdoll kitten so here is what I think was great value for money and what wasn't. I kept to a neutral aesthetic and tried to find toys made from natural materials, enjoy!

Just careful with open candles, my cat once jumped up and burned his whiskers on it.
Eeek! Thanks for the heads up, we always supervise him while they're lit but think we might replace the open ones with more lanterns. Sorry about your kittys whiskers, hope he healed fast

I have 2 teenage son's and our cat that was the same age as them and passed this year loved all their toys especially their train set, Transformers, baby pop up tent and baby toys. You can get old baby toys from second hand stores and they are made from the same material as pet toys. We have a nearly 3 year old girl and she loves his basket and sheepskin.

Awww your echo is gorgeous. 🥰 One of my kitty’s fave toys is bobble on a string. It’s just a regular hair bobble on a string that you can swing around, or pull around floor and he loves to pounce on that. He also love to chase the bobbles without the string around the kitchen floor. I ping them across the floor and he chases after them. It’s hilarious 😂 He also likes the catnip I planted in garden. It’s the one garden bed I don’t chase him out of, he likes to lie on top of it and camouflage himself in the dahlia foliage like he’s a little tiger in the jungle.

You and Dom are doing such a good job of raising him. I don't think there is a more lucky kitten around than Echo. He certainly knows he's loved. Are you still thinking about getting a playmate for him? I bet you two have enough love for two kittens and he certainly has enough toys to share. He'd probably love to have someone to play with. Hi Kay first time on your channel, I love that kitten he is so cute and playful. My daughter has been asking for a Ragdoll for a long time and my husband and I are really looking for a breeder. A couple years ago we did a huge renovation of our house, I bought a expensive beautiful sofa, not to be shallow but I rarely splurge on super expensive things. I want to know how I can make sure my sofa doesn’t get shredded. I see in common most owners have scratch posts, do you put these everywhere? How many do you get? What types do you get? There are like tall climbing ones, I like decor and I’m not a fan of clutter and mess so I was worried my stress would negate the fun?? I’m worried about just saying yes knowing all this.
I love the vid. But just so u know, PLS be careful with those little Pom Pom shiny ball toys. If he enjusts those, it may need surgery. Love ur kitten, stay safe!

I'm so close to putting my deposit on a ragdoll, but I'm nervous about the shedding.Is he old enough for that to be an issue yet? I just noticed this video was posted on my birthday. We are collecting our male Ragdoll kitten at the end of the week. He's going to be 8 weeks old. I think I could open my own shop with the amount of toys we have bought for him. 😂😂 My daughter is 3 and safe to say that she's a bit excited at the thought of him coming home.

We are potentially getting a kitten next week and I was really nervous. I work 3 nights a week so I was worried about leaving her on her own. But seeing your video has made me feel a little more relaxed. I just have a question, do you let echo have the full run on the house at night? During majority of the day I can let her do her own thing, however when I am working/ sleeping my friend recommended a playpen so she’s safe and cosy. Obviously this will change once she’s used to the house and settled then we wouldn’t use the play pen. Have you ever used anything like that before? X
You mentioned Echo had a 3 hour sleep in the afternoon. My kitten Claude did that yesterday. I woke him in the end because he was so still I couldnt see him breathe. But after the 3 hours sleep....he looked different! He'd grown, Im sure of it. A bit more cat, a little less kitten. Then, he went completely mental for about 2 hours. He didnt want to be picked up (first time ever) he avoided my hand coming down. He was so crazy the dog left the room and went upstairs (he's been showing great restraint, but it was too much....I think it must be like a smoker who's giving up, and there's a burning cigarette in the ashtray....the temptation....just one little puff! What I mean is, he's a terrier, who's spent 16 years chasing small animals around the woods (we live next to). He's been great, and we've had other animals...just not in a long while.
Maybe these extra long deep naps are when they have a growth/ energy spurt?
I love here house and I would love to be here visitor it is so conformable and I love the way she talked and here dogs and cats they are so adorable 🥰😍

I’m so happy for you!!!!!! A couple years ago I got a dog (a cavalier King Charles spaniel - ruby colour) and my mum agreed to get ragdoll cats this summer! We found kittens, we’re getting two boy ragdoll kittens 😍
How long did it take for him to settle?
im watching with Claude, my kitten, he's a Ragamese. We also have Marley, a 16 year old Jack terrier cross....who hasnt had a cat living with him in many years, and is showing admirable restraint. You reminded me i need one of those radiator beds. Marley sits in the window, its next to the radiator, it'll be a good way to have them sitting close, without Marley having his space crowded. He's earned his spot at his age :)

How many meals Echo have a day? And there is a specific time for his meals?
Awww adorable! I love BSH's 😍 We feed him raw food and the tinned chicken his breeder provided as often as he likes (he usually tells us by going into the kitchen and looking at the fridge 😂) but a good way of doing it is the mantra 'hunt, kill, eat, sleep' so whenever he plays we like to feed him once he seems tired. Seems to be 3-4 smaller meals per day first meal at 8/9am and last at 11pm. 😊 He also has access to cat biscuits 24/7 x

You can make cat scratchers from from cardboard and off cuts of wood. I'm from New Zealand and made my previous cat one that looked like the Auckland Sky Tower. I'm making my girl a Rapunzel tower for xmas

He's so cute. My cat is a street cat that I found last year when she was a kitten, she had a prolapsed anus and an upper respiratory and eye infection but she's great now. She's still full of so much energy at around a year old or so. She has cheap dollar store toys like fake mice and balls and strings but she really prefers to play with stuff like bottle caps and old shoelaces more than anything lol

Hi my lovely! He is just sooooo adorable. Having a wooden floor instead of carpet is just perfect for a kitten to zoom around on! He has really settled in very well hasn’t he.
(My girls had the butterfly toy, but in no time at all the butterfly fell off and we were left with a piece of sharp wire, just please check yours, I’d hate for Echo to hurt himself). Sending love to your little family! 😻😻😻 xxx

Wood pellets are way better than clay litter and it helps the house not smell as much
I think Echo is great, I just put a deposit down on a ragdoll. He hasn't been born yet. I only hope he is as cute as Echo, I think I will fall in love with him or her anyway!

Hi Kay! I loved your video! I’m a new subscriber ~ love your kind and friendly personality! I have been thinking about getting a rag doll cat. I feel like I could ask a ton of questions. How does your rag doll cat compare to your previous cat in terms of temperament and behavior? I have read that they are more relaxed and friendly. I have a 7 yr old Havanese dog. Hoping they would get along. 💞
Hi I got a new wonderful ragdoll 2 weeks ago. I would 100% say they are more friendly and trusting from the get go. Our previous lovely moggy was much more cautious and reserved in nature and bonded with one person the most, as oppose to our new kitty who loves everybody equally and straight away. I would actually say our moggy was more relaxed and calm as a kitten. Our ragdoll is a complete nutter haha, he has two modes crazy play or asleep. Ragdolls also seem to need a lot more attention, constantly wanting to be with the family which is very heart warming. Whereas our moggy liked to do her own thing a lot of the time, so if you don’t work from home some of the time that’s something to bear in mind and lots of people recommend getting two ragdolls. I hope that helps your decision, whatever cat you get will be amazing I’m sure.

visiting people down the road.
She was a very busy cat indeed.
Most Ragdolls live to about
14 /15 years to my knowledge.
But our lived until she was a good
18. We have a beautiful outdoor
garden area and live on a very
quiet road. She never was sick
and just died of old age. So it
is just like what humans must
or should do this or that. The
norms of society. I believe if
a cat wishes to go out to explore
or only be a house cat I just let

Hello Kay. How did you choose Echo's name ?
Dom actually chose it! He just really liked the name, a gorgeous fluffy white dog at the ski resort we used to work out was called echo so that’s where it came from. We couldn’t agree on any other male cat names 🤣🤣 I like alternative human (alby, Koa or coco we’re my top choices) names but Dom wanted cat names so we compromised with Echo and I really love it now, suits him.😻

Thanks for sharing. Spring spirals - play together with caution. If Echo bites or chews it and it get stuck in his windpipe he will die. Many catteries and vets have cautioned people about these pet toy problems. The stuffing material inside the mouse attached to the end of the fishing stick is full of harmful fluff and if swallowed it will kill Echo. Make your own fishing stick with a bamboo stick (buy them from garden centres), some sisal string and fasten a few feathers to one end of the string and the other end fasten to the bamboo stick. Corrugated cardboard boxes are the most interesting and safe cat toys (remove any plastic tape (replace with paper tape) and any staples). His bed corner basket and cushions might have toxins and chemicals on it. Table tennis balls are popular. A laser pointer is cool. Paper aeroplanes and toilet and kitchen tubes are great. Do NOT use plastic bowls - they contain harmful toxins and chemicals and will seriously harm and kill Echo. Litter boxes with flaps let off a static electric shock. Best to buy a practical hygienic Hop in Box. Cat scratching post is far too small; Echo needs an extra large indoor climbing post with sisal. If you have a plank of wood and sisal you can wind this round the plank and then either hang it on the wall or leave it on the floor. If he is a shorthair ragdoll only need to brush and comb him once a week. It is very important that Echo drinks plenty of fresh water or else you will end up with struvite stones/crystals. Place sheets of cardboard on the floor and on you windowsills. Do NOT cut his claw nails. Cat naturally shed their nails when scratching on cardboard and sisal. Inside his cat transport carrier place a sheet of cardboard inside. Cats hate sitting on plastic.
With that bobbly toy, if it has
feathers on it please remove it.
If it is feathers and one perhaps
comes loose and sticks in his
mouth or throat this could be
highly dangerous.
Could you maybe explain why you chose to buy a cat from a breeder and not adopt a cat from a shelter?

Nice video, you have a great selection of toys for your sweet little Echo there. I got my first Ragdoll kitten this summer, his name is Charlie and he is now 7,5 months old and is 4,6 kilos already so they grow quickly :) I also have a 14 year old British shorthair cat named Alex. I also have the same ball made of silver vines with a small catnip ball in the middle. Just remember that kittens can't smell or react to catnip yet, not until they are around 7 months old, that's probably why it's not that interesting for Echo yet. Not all cats care for it either even when they're older.
My Alex love Silver vine and catnip, and Charlie has also started to find an interest in it now :)
