- Who would have thought it! Williams finally announced Logan Sargeant in the second seat for 2024 alongside Alex Albon. There was a lot of controversy regarding this decision but I believe that James Vowles has made the right choice in giving Logan another roll of the dice in 2024. Given how difficult it is for young drivers to establish themselves in F1, Williams are pinning their hopes on Sargeant to be right behind Albon and score a good haul of points in the 2024 season. Lets see what the young American can do!

F1 rookies are dismissed far too quickly these days, They need time to show what they can do and i am for one glad Logan is getting that chance.
There is a lot of talent in the wings. Red Bull have Lawson, iwasa, even hadjar. Williams could potentially go for Mick or Felipe drugovich. Drugovich is an F2 winner and will be on the sidelines for 2 years.
Debris who was a F2 and FE winner was dismissed (albeit for old talent).

If they gave Latifi (sorry, GOATifi) 3 years, Logan deserves at least 2.

I like how Vowles has handled this I'm now a Williams fan.
I think it’s the right thing to do also. it’s similar to haas giving mick a second chance too. He just needs to stop making all the errors has he’s shown he has pace. Just needs to find the thin line of pushing consistently and not over playing himself into mistakes 🤷♂️
Just quickly as on lunch but yeah its nice that Williams have shown some loyalty to Sargeant. Where do you see Albon going in 2025? Looking at the picutr looks like Ferrari and he has done a brilliant job in the Williams to potentially move up.

It's right because it doesn't put pressure on Albon but he needs to get a little bit closer to him next season.
Just needs to score more points, that's it.
More likely Alex Albon will go to other team than Logan Sargeant 😁

Vowles did not "make a decision". The decision was made in the Dorilton boardroom, why Jost Capito said, "Enough of this," and left at the end of last year, Dorilton then hired Toto's "yes man" James Vowles who is known for doing as he's been told. Sargent has no business driving an F1 car, he even makes Marzipan looking good. 🤣
Logan had a pretty shit season, but to compare him to Mazespin is a little much lol.

Let's not kid ourselves... Albon ain't no top driver, any other decent signing last year and Dorilton F1 could have ended the season on 50+ points, Sargent is a joke.
He will never be anything special, but neither is Williams at the moment, so it's no wonder this is their caliber of driver. Hope Albon will return to RB after next season, he will be an ideal Perez replacement.
Rookie or not, Sargeant never even shown a moment of brilliance except maybe the LV qualifying. Sargeant is a modern day version of Scott Speed or Michael Andretti on the American side and Alex Yoong on the international scene. I think Sargeant brings a suitcase of money to the team. My prediction for 2024, he will still suck.

Logan sargeant is only kept on as hes the only american in the F1 , with 3 F1 races in the united states they need an american .
Personaly hes wasting a seat that should be going to a true tallent as hes the american stroll ,latifi , mazapin and grosjean . wasting space for good drivers . like Lawson , him paired up with Albon would realy improve wiliams car development and results.
I respect everyone's opinion but he'll be terrible next year too. He is not on a Formula 1 level.
