TRIP TO BALI | EPISODE 12 | PATUNG GARUDA WISNU KENCANA - SEMINYAK BALI

The statue itself is very beautiful and massive - indeed, it is the 3rd largest statue in the world, and dwarfs even the Statue of Liberty. However, though the statue appears to be ancient and significant, it was only constructed within the last couple years. It deserves to be taken in, but it is not a hugely culturally-significant statue as it may appear to be from afar. I didn't pay the extra money to go up the statue, and felt that I had not missed anything from simply viewing it from the ground.
