I would suggest adding a alcantara steering wheel and a front splitter
If you go Alcantara, you have to vow never to touch the steering wheel with grubby lip licking fingers 😂
Otherwise it becomes a proper mess and looks nasty

Or just use a mk6 or mk7 steering wheel

Those exterior mods make such a difference, the led lights are awesome 👍🏻 Changing the head unit is a must on older vehicles. Sounds really nice with the new exhaust setup, that's more civilised you can leave the ear defenders at home now 😂
Yeah the exhaust was too much before, good fun for a video idea but in reality not so much 🤣
I dont get why the lights are so popular I'm not a massive fan I prefer the oem tinted ones 🤷♂️

Just loved the content! So informative and straight to the point. Glad you came to your senses and silenced the beast. You were so embarrassed driving it around straight piped that it got me worried you were going to sell. And I was right , cos shorty after you dropped the bomshell! Im swapping the ecu on mine with a modded one -, wish you had a video on that cos the ones I've seen are crap, and I know yours would have been tops. Awesome!
Loving the mod vids and that R32 in Tornado is just 😍 just shows it's not all about the engine tuning 👏🏻. Also great choice of exhaust was way too loud before 👌🏼

The R32 is looking great now, the new factory exhaust is perfect for daily use, the sound system rear lights and diffuser make this timeless classic stand out, this car is looking better day by day!!.
That Diffuser makes the car look so much fresher and meaner definitely a good mood and glad you kept this bad boy.

Pretty sure the fog lamp needs to be on O/S or centre of vehicle if theres only 1 apart from that looks real neat👌
Nice upgrades. If you want you can install a front splitter and some for the side skirts.

I just got a pair of valeos for my MK5. If the reverse and fog are the wrong way around when you reverse (fog light on) and when you active fog (reverse light on) all you have to do is just extend one connector that clips into the lamp. One of the connectors can be swapped but one needs to be made longer. Makes it easier than getting someone to open them and then condensation happens!
A single fog light must be mounted on the right(offside) of the vehicle, otherwise it won't pass a MOT.
Mk5 interiors really benefit from a mk6/mk7 steering wheel if you ever have some money to waste. Loving this build.

Great video man. Already had the RCD330 but that diffuser is very tempting. It doesn't look like it from this video, but does the diffuser allow access to the tow hook passthrough in the rear bumper? Necessary for track use! Cheers from the USA.

Ive started thinking about my first car recently and I came across the R32 and I was like ‘hmmm that looks good, affordable, and more interesting than a 4cyl’ and this series has confirmed the car for me even though thats like 3yrs away
Start saving up because R32s are not cheap
@@nathanroy2479 I will soon but here in australia they’re pretty cheap compared to other places because it just got ignored (I’m kinda glad about that) they’re going up for around 17500 bucks
I love the r32 i play a game where i sell mine constantly just to change the rims 😂😂 (it also comes stock with the rare tail lights i kinda prefer the stock ones)

That diffuser suits the car well. If it was carbon dipped or something it would look even better. Shame it’s on the slow mk5 though 😉

there's a lot more to do regarding interior modernizing (mk6/7 steering, cluster, rcd330g(i think you already did it), mk6 window/light switches. seats to be leather / wingback bucket type).
My R32 had the valeos in and I swapped them with the GTI style ones 😂

Just wondering if you have had any issues with the battery drain since the video. Just trying to figure out if I need to go through the effort of upgrading the canbus or not 😅

For value purposes the R32 should be left as stock. Prices are rising as the number of Mk 5 R32's on the road are diminishing and values are creeping up. It spoils them with bolt ons and alterations. I have had my R32 since 2008 from new to date and the true collectors want untouched originals. They consider updating them reduces the values. If you want to upgarde and modify you should have a GTi as they are perfect for moding.
Someone online said roughly the same thing plus said to keep the money for when it goes wrong, because it can be expensive to repair.
Hey man just wondering why you are keeping the r32 if you think it’s slow? What do you like about it? Also need to colour match those airbag clips on the pillar, that’s bothering me 👌😁

Where did u get original exhaust fitted from brother? Reason why im asking is my eml light came on, got it diagnosed n mechanic said sum1 fitted performance cat so it needs to be remapped stage 1 an eml light will go plus he goes small little minute leak but he didnt wana sort it in case he snapped a bolt or sumat.. so i was thinking of getting a whole new custom exhaust for it full back to front.. what do u think?

I read somewhere that they bought that battery drain adapter you have and it fucked up after a month...any update on the rcd330

we had a vw golf r auto box which drived like a dream it was load because we fitted a straight pipe for two weeks and then took it back off and sold it for a merc c63 and sold that only because it had a leak in the engine compartment but i encourage you to look at my son on Fastlane_tv .

Definitely should've bought a Chinese carbon fibre one off Amazon or AliExpress. Stock shape, almost perfect fitment for about 130USD. I can email you photos of mine. Only downside is there's no tow hook but it looks the part.
