I love the movement in Cold war because you could run, dip, slide, pop up, run, dip, slide and pop up over and over again super fast. I used to get people calling me a cheater all the times because you could literally move around the map hella fast just doing that.

Call of Duty managed just fine for over a decade with just sprinting and a cooldown and no tac sprint / slide cancelling. No tac sprint next year would honestly be the bomb diggity.
I think it will default as no tac sprint, but we might get a perk that allows tac sprinting. Maybe it will be faster compared to this game.
Yeah but at the same time COD has managed fine with Tac Sprint for half a decade. It's just what people have come to expect, and when it was introduced in MW19 people had mixed feelings over it, it now seems to be mostly positive. Also just as time goes on people want more complex features in games, not to say tac sprint is a complex thing but it adds another layer.
Similar could be said about tac sprint at this point. Based on the community reaction when slide cancelling got removed, I can’t imagine the removal of tac sprint will be taken well with the new CoD kids

I'm retired from cod but I've played from bo1-coldwar and all I see tac sprint as is a way to get to the other side of the map faster no matter map type or size so it wouldn't matter if I were to play and it wasn't there

Can you use the NINJA vest + All-Terrain boots? Ninja vest eliminates footstep audio as well @jev Also if you pop a WEAPON XP token it stacks towards the camo as well.

I’ve finally gotten the confidence to do the interstellar grind
love the fast movement overall...i mean i use tac sprint and slide cancelling...but the tac sprint aspect id rather just let it go, gives me one less button to press, i think that would be awesome personally...i prefer constant fast paced momentum, rather than limited by stamina for a tac sprint (again personally thats how i feel)
You can use the ninja vest to get the same effects as covert sneakers while also allowing you to put on a different set of boots

If ur just doing the camo grind and you want to try out the other boots the ninja vest also eliminates your foot step sounds

I’ve been using the all terrain boots with ninja vest and the Jak Cutthroat stock. Have had a lot of people accuse me of “speed hacks” lol
It’s wild when people are like “there’s no footstep audio in CoD!”, cuz I went back to playing BF2042 and BF1, and those games ACTUALLY have no footstep audio. You actually need way more situational awareness when your opponent doesn’t sound like he’s running on a marble floor in tap shoes.

The new movement mechanic in the next cod is unicycles and skateboards but those longboard skateboards that girls use to do a kinda dance on. The maps will take place around malls and parks.

I finished this for the bal27 while getting it forged and borealis, wasn't that bad while still working on something new. But i could definitely see this being ubber tedious on stuff that I've already got maxed/gilded.
Cold War had an odd "Tac Sprint" mechanic. Your first couple seconds of sprinting were a fast speed then it would slow down into a normal sprint without changing animations. It would reset every time you stopped running. I found myself stopping for .01 seconds to get that boost and it worked well. Tac Sprint is definitely better though.
You can run the ninja vest and all-terrain boots to have no footstep audio and the movement buff but you'll lose access to gloves perk

Music usually seems to make me better at COD, directional sound was just an added bonus I got when I discovered good headsets growing up.

The skill gap in this game is not only tac sprint but also stamina utilisation by jumping and slide cancelling and using that cycle. You are actually faster and still utilise your stamina better than regularly slide cancelling
I like tac sprint just cuz its fast, if the maps are small or if theres other mvoement options i dont care if its removed. In warzone though i love being able to sprint quickly and far. For sound i play most of my games at like 40% max volume with youtube or music in another window, so its whatever to me.
