They have it was called arena something and it was hated 😂 was a completely separate game from bdo but was bdo also if you want bdo PvP with no crazy bs and can PvP whenever you want at any time try mobile bdo there is so much PvP content it’s not even funny on top of that normal arena lvls everything evenly if your opponent is some crazy cp number and your just a fresh new player it will equal them out yall we be the some power even though your fresh to the game there is PvP content as well that requires you to be up there in gear score as well but you have the option to just play on equal footing no matter your opponents cp and it comes down to the better player at that point it’s fun the combat is the exact same same classes same skills even is controller supported low key tbh BDM is a better game them BDO and Heidel ball is starting soon as well tones of free stuff coming to help boost you if you want to stick with it I quit BDO a long time ago and opted for BDM much more enjoyable and if you run the game on a second device you can afk farm as much as you want it’s built in no macros that get you banned cause the macros are built into the game you have to the ability to not use auto and destroy mobs and people or use it while afk
@shizzlefbz8672 the standalone shadow arena did not have the same combat system as BDO. There has yet to he a game to copy BDOs combat into a better game, unfortunately.

*Bottom line:* All roads in BDO lead to the PvP, so the only thing that really matters in BDO is the PvP. Everything else is just a distraction. Pearl Abyss did everything they could to obscure the details, but BDO PvP has been broken since its inception. It revolves around rotating protections until landing a catch, leading to pointless, repetitive, and shallow combat. The focus is on being an OP/meta class, spamming protected abilities, and hoping for the best rather than actually reacting to opponents' attacks. That’s why it’s not taken seriously by gamers outside the tiny BDO echo chamber and has zero esports and FGC support. The remaining player base clings to meta classes and gear, hoping they’re the solution, but the reality is that people don’t care about gear in a fight. What truly matters is skill and genuine competition. Denial and buyers’ remorse are the only things keeping most "veterans" playing, while most new players leave almost immediately once they see how the game actually works. Pearl Abyss knows this, which is why they focus on seasons and monetizing seasonal players. Season is the entire game and has been for years. PA knows that BDO will eventually die-that’s not the issue. The issue is extracting as much value as possible from its decline and delaying its end as long as possible with minimal resources. None of these changes, Solaria, new classes, balance tweaks, etc., were ever meant to fix BDO. They were meant to keep the player base engaged and convinced that new "changes" were on the way. As an Awakening Witch main: I hate myself, and here is why. - Oct, 2021: Was the last time we got any kind of actual adjustments beyond mass TP (June 2023). Finally, we are getting some adjustments which just hit G-Labs this week, so let's see. It does look like after almost 3 years, they are addressing the problem with people being able to grab your atoms out of thin air mid teleport and tossing your ass to the ground. That alone is a big W, whether it will be enough VS meta... 😂😂😂😂. Obviously that does not address the damage aspects, and being a 343AP BA rat, I can tell you, I can't kill a succ zerk without 100% buff, E buff, ... and depending, elixirs.😅 At this point in time, the only BDO playtime I bother to make is 2-3 hours a week. When I login, the only content I do is sit in Heidel, get my crit buff, go to BA... say Hi to the other Rats in there, have a few rounds, call it a day. The only silver I make is the daily family login amount. 😂😂😂 That said, I agree with Vessel and yourself Uni. :9 PS: the reddit snowflake comment tickled. New to mid players going on rants about how much PVP content is out and how endgame is fine when they have no idea yet.... GG. 😂
@Kazairosi I have still never tried AoS mostly due to that is exactly how I imagine I would feel. :) My feeling is that you need to he able to full glass cannon uncapped on Witch to have any fun with it at all, or don't bother. Capped is not for Witches. 🤣

If rewards for AoS or RBF were better then more people would come to play on OP classes (like Drakania or Zerker in AoS). PA would have to balance out classes first which they will never do. Not to mention that FOTM = more monetization.

I was excited because i heard about nodewars changes. After looking at it, i realized that was the the same one per day, same schedule than before, just changed mechanics and AOS and Redbattlefield are dead. I want a pvp game, not a shit grinder, no life stupid mob killing, but most of the people is what they want sadly

I will say, the consistent barrage of shitty changes over the past 2 years, has led me to uninstall the game. It's so unfortunate because this game was so good for the longest time. It's very sad to see that (what it seems like) the devs are intentionally burning it to the ground. 770gs just to have only capped content in the game a "Sandbox" mmo. I don't really recall a good patch in the past 2 years. It's always like, here's a band aid at the Calpheon or Heidel ball, with a j hammer, or a free PEN blackstar, but just so you know you get a same grind, just different zone for a flame to progress your gear :). I mean to really talk about the pvp scene, once they made the guild dec changes it was all down hill and the game was significantly decline from that point forward. NW changes, just put the final nail in the coffin.
I think what they are trying to do is narrow a lot of stuff down to simpler stats and make sure everybody is on the same page so there is no versatility there is no "meta" and so on, everybody is playing the same crap and then they'll say "its balanced cuz everybody is the same shit" Bring back Green Gear Set effects :c and +15 only
Also just to add, i had this idea that they should in my opinion actually make a whole new set for alle Gear Pieces just like the new Weapon they announced and let you put the Stats on them that you want yourself so you can define your playstyle i'd also think they should add affixes which are Skill Related so you can customize your Playstyle even More, cuz i think when there was versatility in this game it was the most beautiful.
I do not like AoS cause of how bad the class balance is and to have fun I would have to play some meta class for it. But looking at the ranks, given I barely play and am at rank few thousand, it means basically nobody plays AoS except like 1% or less of the players, so I cannot blame them for not caring for PvP. I guess it is just dead content for them... The uncapped AoS they announced sounds great though. Uncapped balance is a little better than AoS but still pretty bad balance overall... Guild league is also barely played by anyone, but it is arguably more fun.
You got the sub for the part with over-rewarding afk (bartering etc) and spitting laughable rewards for high effort content like AoS lol :D AoS should be 100mil per win and 70mil per lose in just silver Realistically how many can you squeeze in an hour tops 10? That's 1 bil which is average silver/h rn

Sorry but as some1 who comes from games were playing as a red player is actually viable rewards is never what a pvper cares about a real pvper is there for the dick measuring contest. Score boards, kill counts, ranks and even cosmetics only unlockable by doing pvp are all things that increase your size by.00002cms. So i can see why PA doesn't seem to put much care into pvp when the entirety of Korea only shows up for the rewards and 90% of NA is only there for the rewards as well if they weren't they all wouldn't be in Cho, Trying to join Cho, allied to Cho, or worse making 40 guild allies to just touch a node and nothing more. Rewards just brings in even more people that don't actually care about pvp and just tell PA no1 is there to pvp. I have no idea how EU is with pvp since i don't play there but it's boring in NA seeing every single person in viable pvp gear being on the same team. I'm also aware that BDO is in a unique spot in regards to this cause how many people in NA actually want to pvp? no1 really knows but if i had to guess I'd put my money on there being a lot more non pvpers.
Pve is trash as well need to many buffs and crystals that are expensive. Lag kills you before u can even react to mobs the more they keep updating and not balancing anything
well in these past 6months "i played bdo" like afk cooking at the office, last 1h grind i finished in 5 days, couldnt even stand after 10min before fall asleep and all tri fallen and other stuff made them all base ones, destroyed some accessory and never to touch again. I was like 720gs+. TL IS COMMING so, at least we will have an mmo, not some random circle "single player" online afk simulator game

After 1700 hours on Xbox I gave up on Bd 2 years ago after finally getting sick of its trash gear system, and getting shredded in open world pvp. never got to 600 gs because of my bad rng and the unbelievable grind

After their increase DR number Assassin class are dead because tanky Class like zeker, nova and drak can play whatever they want because no class can one combo them without full E and Z.
BDO is dead not just the pvp 😂😂 player's that hunt a world boss are 8 to 10 players only in sea server. PVE spots are not crowded. Some of the players will go online just for GBR then logout again. This game is so Good that it can be qualified in Esport tournaments but the company who manages is so bad at managing the game. Maybe the private servers are better than the pearl abyss for managing the game.
One of the main reasons why pvp is dying is because of how rotten and stupid the pvp community is. The amount of toxicity is beyond crazy. Trash talk, PK someone then jump on top of their body then type "weak noob unninstall". IRL drama and doxxing, stupid griefers PK'ing Tuvala noobs for fun, hunting people on every spot, completely abusing the old dec system to humiliate and farm someone until that person literally quits the game. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Pvp in this game is utterly trash because half of the time the game just does not work (cc on s and super armor, getting stuck in the terrain, resist, RNG on action-based game..).
While I agree that most of the things you mentioned have happened at one point or another, that really wasn't a common thing and there have always been easy ways to avoid even being in that situation. Guild's had protection for members who wanted to remain out of PVP, marni realm, a butt ton of servers to swap to. The people who got upset were generally the ones who got killed once, didn't understand why (likely they were griefing) and refused to take any of the routes to avoid the PVP. 😂

This is why i love FakeUni he doesnt gooch lick pearl abyss and J like certain bald headed content creators he gives it to you straight and to the point, pvp is in a horrendous state right now so is group content it's hard to even log in and collect daily log in rewards anymore it just feels like a big kick in the nuts for all the hard work and hours i put into the game to get stronger to pvp i'll wait for dosa awakening to come out try it out a little bit and go on a long hiatus to see what happens with the game, but i dont have any faith the dev's are running around with their heads up their asses completely cooking the game, well see what happens but FakeUni is the only youtube channel ill be watching to keep up to date with the game much love man and if the game does just end up dying off i hope you can find another good game to make content for
I was excited because i heard about nodewars changes.
After looking at it, i realized that was the the same one per day, same schedule than before, just changed mechanics and AOS and Redbattlefield are dead.

I will say, the consistent barrage of shitty changes over the past 2 years, has led me to uninstall the game. It's so unfortunate because this game was so good for the longest time. It's very sad to see that (what it seems like) the devs are intentionally burning it to the ground. 770gs just to have only capped content in the game a "Sandbox" mmo. I don't really recall a good patch in the past 2 years. It's always like, here's a band aid at the Calpheon or Heidel ball, with a j hammer, or a free PEN blackstar, but just so you know you get a same grind, just different zone for a flame to progress your gear :). I mean to really talk about the pvp scene, once they made the guild dec changes it was all down hill and the game was significantly decline from that point forward. NW changes, just put the final nail in the coffin.

I think what they are trying to do is narrow a lot of stuff down to simpler stats and make sure everybody is on the same page so there is no versatility there is no "meta" and so on, everybody is playing the same crap and then they'll say "its balanced cuz everybody is the same shit"

Also just to add, i had this idea that they should in my opinion actually make a whole new set for alle Gear Pieces just like the new Weapon they announced and let you put the Stats on them that you want yourself so you can define your playstyle i'd also think they should add affixes which are Skill Related so you can customize your Playstyle even More, cuz i think when there was versatility in this game it was the most beautiful.
I do not like AoS cause of how bad the class balance is and to have fun I would have to play some meta class for it. But looking at the ranks, given I barely play and am at rank few thousand, it means basically nobody plays AoS except like 1% or less of the players, so I cannot blame them for not caring for PvP. I guess it is just dead content for them... The uncapped AoS they announced sounds great though. Uncapped balance is a little better than AoS but still pretty bad balance overall...
Guild league is also barely played by anyone, but it is arguably more fun.

@redriverlures back in time in MU Online the reachest were the castle lords who had to fight for the castle (few k people in a single server war) castle owners alliance had access to LoT map where you could drop rly rare items required to add options to ur gear
You could also sell them for a lot of money in game

Sorry but as some1 who comes from games were playing as a red player is actually viable rewards is never what a pvper cares about a real pvper is there for the dick measuring contest. Score boards, kill counts, ranks and even cosmetics only unlockable by doing pvp are all things that increase your size by.00002cms. So i can see why PA doesn't seem to put much care into pvp when the entirety of Korea only shows up for the rewards and 90% of NA is only there for the rewards as well if they weren't they all wouldn't be in Cho, Trying to join Cho, allied to Cho, or worse making 40 guild allies to just touch a node and nothing more. Rewards just brings in even more people that don't actually care about pvp and just tell PA no1 is there to pvp. I have no idea how EU is with pvp since i don't play there but it's boring in NA seeing every single person in viable pvp gear being on the same team. I'm also aware that BDO is in a unique spot in regards to this cause how many people in NA actually want to pvp? no1 really knows but if i had to guess I'd put my money on there being a lot more non pvpers.

Pve is trash as well need to many buffs and crystals that are expensive. Lag kills you before u can even react to mobs the more they keep updating and not balancing anything
well in these past 6months "i played bdo" like afk cooking at the office, last 1h grind i finished in 5 days, couldnt even stand after 10min before fall asleep and all tri fallen and other stuff made them all base ones, destroyed some accessory and never to touch again. I was like 720gs+.
TL IS COMMING so, at least we will have an mmo, not some random circle "single player" online afk simulator game

After 1700 hours on Xbox I gave up on Bd 2 years ago after finally getting sick of its trash gear system, and getting shredded in open world pvp. never got to 600 gs because of my bad rng and the unbelievable grind
Theres ppl getting to 700 gs in a month or 2 on console your full of it. The game gives you so much shit now its crazy. 2 guaranteed pen accessorys. A free tet and pen blackstar weapon. free pen armor of choice. all kinds of shit.

as special evasion to hp that main issue is EVA always unbalance in PVP, If ppl who dont know it, try fight a skilled MUSA with full pen debo + centu belt with only like 1.2k eva + nearly 50% Special evasion with buff, that is no way you can kill it even you got 1.1k ACCU due the special evasion 50% is way too Broken. ppl play DR / full AP even ACCU over 1k also cant killed them but they got the DMG to kill other as well in just few skill . So ppl those play special eva will feel very satisfied on it.

then who care about glass cannon ap build ? with only (800- 920EVA + 450-560DR) and they not guarantee still can1 combo ppl against DR / EVA player and must learn mastered pvp skill to win a fight, and other just using META build meme go in out win kill ?

for more information, class is very hard to balancing with their skill. therefore don't need to hope they will fix / balance it. but inner dmg % of each class to other can be fix, example all set as same %, not like shai vs ninja +30% more dmg ? Basic striker already have more magic DR/EVA on tanking magic dmg, why still need give extra inner 15-30% tank magic dmg against DK, hash, witch those ?
those kind of inner % count is make the class unbalance dmg, like same player same gear how come other class atk me no dmg and some class 1 combo ko. Think wise that is real issue on balancing, not the class itself.
And Last one, dont forget after sour weapon release all DR buff issue, become tanky , hard to kill, all this issue will be solve and may back to previous era when sour weapon appear,

don't underestimated the power of 50% special evasion. Peeps that super tanky actually is because of this. so when you happy to see zerk 1 vs 20 unkillable ? what the feeling of the other 20 player? and in calculation, hp pot give 550hp and pvp dmg not all skill can deal this amount. fair trade.

Why people keep thinking pvp in bdo is good is beyond me. With all the class imbalances and stupid gimmicks that make skill irrelevant, those people must have never experienced a true pvp game in their life.
When PA make all class with sa protection their game already dead. Just Spam your skill without worry to much like before. Play meta class to survive.
After their increase DR number Assassin class are dead because tanky Class like zeker, nova and drak can play whatever they want because no class can one combo them without full E and Z.

BDO is dead not just the pvp 😂😂 player's that hunt a world boss are 8 to 10 players only in sea server. PVE spots are not crowded. Some of the players will go online just for GBR then logout again. This game is so Good that it can be qualified in Esport tournaments but the company who manages is so bad at managing the game. Maybe the private servers are better than the pearl abyss for managing the game.
BDO mobile is better in pvp than in pc. Why do they just apply the ideas in mobile and apply it in pc. 🤷

One of the main reasons why pvp is dying is because of how rotten and stupid the pvp community is.
The amount of toxicity is beyond crazy. Trash talk, PK someone then jump on top of their body then type "weak noob unninstall".
IRL drama and doxxing, stupid griefers PK'ing Tuvala noobs for fun, hunting people on every spot, completely abusing the old dec system to humiliate and farm someone until that person literally quits the game.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Pvp in this game is utterly trash because half of the time the game just does not work (cc on s and super armor, getting stuck in the terrain, resist, RNG on action-based game..).
Exactly PVP is for Arena's not thumping a new player in the back of the head while they are fishing.
While I agree that most of the things you mentioned have happened at one point or another, that really wasn't a common thing and there have always been easy ways to avoid even being in that situation. Guild's had protection for members who wanted to remain out of PVP, marni realm, a butt ton of servers to swap to.
The people who got upset were generally the ones who got killed once, didn't understand why (likely they were griefing) and refused to take any of the routes to avoid the PVP. 😂
