I love how Red comes across as such a smooth, high society, intelligent gentleman for 90% of the show, and then there are always ruthless scenes like this where we’re reminded that there’s a reason he’s such a high profile criminal with everyone after him.
not where I expected this to go, what I fin makes him interessting is, he comes across as smooth, high society, ineligent, a gentleman, rational, always in controll and with backplans a to z but in moments like this you just know that in the end he is anything but rational and calculating, he is all raw impuls and driven by blind emotion.
In my opinion, his best scene was where reddington and ressler were stuck in the box and this maniac shot red's assistant and resslers leg was fucked. The scene where Reddington spoke about "I need this one more time.." absolute unit of an episode

I mean, Red knows that Ressler killed that important lady in season 4 (she's a top US politician, I forgot her name). And Red helped cover it up, not to mention, saved his life in season 1 (Anslo Garrick episode). Red also helped Cooper when he was in trouble because of that kid Isaiah Hill. He's helped Samar discover that her brother was a traitor to Iran, and he always helps Elizabeth with stuff. And also, the task force alone is the most classified task force in the FBI, and receives a great portion of its budget because of the blacklist Red provides. So, Cooper pretty much sums it up when he says "The man we all hate to love", because they know Red kills one person here and one person there, and deep down he has a moral compass and in the end, he does more good than bad.

Her “mom” literally almost got her killed, kidnapped her, stole her kid from her & lied to her in her face to gain her confidence, endangering Agnes & then lying about it. She also literally kept her captive. I don’t know about you, but Red would never ever do that. He does stupid shit, yes, but he always made sure to keep Liz & Agnes his priority even if it meant endangering himself. Katarina cared wayy more about herself than she ever could give a f about liz or agnes
What I love about this scene is it shows that Raymond is a necessary evil and he can do what they can’t, or unwilling, or don’t have the stomach to do.

I think he should continue the work with the task force to maintain his immunity and leave liz alone. She is so ungrateful. Whilst he is a dangerous man, he protects her. Her character disgusts me. The new season should be just that, leaving liz with her ungrateful self until she finally brings grateful for him.

Those bones are not the Real Reddington. The Alchemist changed the DNA of whoever’s bones they are to make it seem like they are Reddington’s. Reddington said the Alchemist can change DNA. He really wants Liz to believe her father is really dead. When he really isn’t. Or rather he wants the people who know happened that night of the fire to believe that.
I hate liz for what she did. I can't believe it is so hard for her to realize how Red protected her and all she had to do was stay calm and listen to him.
