We need to consider specific angles, for making slopes, for example, slope at 20 degree angle, We can not just set a random height of 3 meters. If we apply your same method on another roof plan, we dont get perfect elevation.
Angles or slope will depend on the height of the roof. This plan is not applicable to all. Consider the size of your project and initiate your own angles and heights.
Instead of providing the roof height Hello is it possible to work for the height of the roof at its highest point if the sloping angle of the roof is given give a take 30° slope 😢 when drawing the Elevations
By following the slope angle and example using 45° on the 45 set square all the lines fall in place no need for dimensions and measuring ie. Keep true to your scale for best results.

I can’t believe the 0.5 and 1.0 meters drop were taken arbitrarily! There is a computation using trigonometry for that. The 3.0 meters can be taken from your chosen height that’s correct but even that, you have to consider the required slope. Clay tiles for example require a Minimum slope. You cannnot just say 3.0 meters if your building is big. Are you an architect?!
Don't limit yourself doing complicated solutions of trigonometry and worrying about clay tiles for roof specification as your example. Random choice will be fine as long the aesthetic and strength applies. I can do 10meters roof height if I wanted too. Please don't use your book. Architecture is unexpected.
@@lesintocables2311 What if a client require you to have a 4meters roof attic. Then if trigonometry doesnt fulfill the client need because of some constraints still you will insist trigonometry. By the way I never had a problem building houses using my own roof proportions. And can do whatever you want. This is in real life not relying completely on the book. In short it is flexible and free. And this tutorial doesnt applicable for all the floor plans. You mis understood to think its a general use.

If Philippine architectural landscape is peppered with architects without math and science, that would explain why architecture in the country is for the most part ugly. It will depend on the floor plan. But one thing for sure the main ridge will be the highest part of the roof.
