First time I have seen this explain. I like this system better than looking on your phone where everything is with the hand controller. I am limited for the viewing because the buildings and light pollution. The tablet allows me to visualize much better. I have used the 10" Meade sct scope Balance with the 2 weights. no problem. I have not seen any other builder that has made this fantastic working equipment to anyone else. To each is his own. Thank you again for your time.
Is it possible for you all to do an updated version of this video. My ExploseStars App doesn't have the same features/buttons as your example. Just recently purchased the iEXOS-100 and the AT102-ED and so far I am very pleased with them. Having a small issue with alignment though.....lol.
Thanks. Very helpful. Would be even better if there was a user manual for this SW, or the Help button worked. Would also have been nice to cover what these controls do: AT - Alignment..., Capture Target, Reset..., Reset Comm...
Very good explanation on explore stars app. Thank you very much. I had downloaded the app on windows 11 laptop and android tablet. It is working fine on tablet. However on Windows machine, I don't seem to get the compass, in its place I see "please wait" msg and nothing happens! Is there any setting on laptop that needs done or is this due to the App is not designed for Windows 11? thanks
I've spent weeks learning Nina, sharpcap, phd2 and I'm still having some difficulty. I'm thinking of using Tia, but I read I can only take small exposures, why? and if I use this app do I still need all the others? phd2, sharpcap etc ?

Have a question for you. I just finally used my Exos2gt mount last night and after polar aligning the mount would slew but in the opposite direction. So I tried to photograph Bode's Galaxy and it pointed in the mirror opposite of where it was in the sky. Any ideas? Using an iPad Pro to control my mount.
Check your site settings. A common mistake is the longitude setting. On iPad you can invoke the GPS settings by opening maps selecting your own locale (that will grab proper GPS settings), then go into ExploreStars settings and choose the option to use GPS.
feel like i did upgrading to windows 3.1 for the first time, all was fine unless your the one with issues which i have and theres nothing out there to help
Thank you for the video but you totally glanced over the scope type, and just picked what you had, but what should users pick and what do they mean? :D
@@ExploreScientificOfficial okay thank you, it doesnt say "mount type", it says "scope type", thats what confuses users probably. Because I thought for example, (you mentioned it affecting driving) that maybe different type needs to be selected depending on how big or "long" telescope is attatched :) But now I know.
for some reason when i start it up on the laptop it dose not load in the database at all any help i had download it from windows store but ? do i need to down load the database like i would for the tablet even tho i have downloaded it already for the pc but still cant get it to start and find the database
You don't spend ANY time of trouble-shooting this PMC8 mount and installation issues before you launch into other aspects of a trouble free installation.
I agree, me too. Every time I call support hotline, they will never direct your call to an actual Tech support person. However, I have spoke to Shannon who is customer support, but not so technical with answers. I don't like the scope nor the mount. I will never buy from Explore Scientific again.
not sure what your doing but they can't make this mount any easier. this hobby isn't plug n play, it takes months of practice. when you know what your doing, this mount is the most basic it gets. if you can't figure it out with research, this hobby isn't for you. @@roymixon

We can take your suggestion and get to work on it for you.

Reset Com Link sends an ESX! command to the mount, this resets the communications link.
This was a big help! Thanks Jerry!

When selecting alignment i do not see the "Align to this star" only Previous, Enter and Next. Enter doesnt slew the mount either.
Its says: "File Data Missing" only when the mount isnt connected via WiFi?
Hmmm. Wireless control sounds good but is it a tad more cumbersome than using a remote like on other GoTo mounts especially when you need a laptop.
Wireless control is just an option with the PMC-Eight. It works wireless or wired. Wired is how most users configure it when using a laptop.
What would be awesum is a dedicated wireless remote that can do all that in a more user friendly way.

The mount type is selectable based on what model the customer has purchased. We sell 3 mounts, the G11, EXOS 2 and iEXOS 100 PMC-Eight

Does your mouse still have a ball in it?
I truly regret having bought this mount.
