People are instinctively curious and the need to explore is innate. When someone starts to learn the distances, size relationships, and dynamics of other planets, nebulae, stars, and galaxies as they gaze directly at them through a telescope, paths to understanding our universe from a broader perspective gains greater clarity. Often an enlightening, and sometimes euphoric feeling is experienced.

PMC-8 is the biggest PITA device I have dealt with. Mechanically it's not bad, but software POS.
I installed a zwo eaf and since then I can't get it to work like it was :( When focuser goes in, it moves smoothly, when backing up it moves hardly and the 1:10 knob stopped working for some odd reason. It looks really easy thing to do, but for some reason it turned out to be a pandora's box for me. :(((
Hi Explore Scientific - will this base take the straight-through 8x50 viewfinder? The one in this link? th-cam.com/video/EZFb2QFWcDA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=z04aO19UYd9j0oa3
Dead Air. Switching channels
I'm not sure to go with this or just buy a Camera that connects to my Laptop??
Yes nice. However it must be very interesting to see both of them handling in the darkness. I bought the iexos100 some years ago.
Veo que los cometarios son de hace años. Todavía no se solucionó el problema de conectividad? Estoy amargado.😟
Muy confusa la instalación de la app. Y este video tiene una resolución de 240 p (??)
I wonder how many nights is the seeing good enough to give decent views at 400x?
Cannot find the iOS app. Can anyone help please. I now regret buying this iexos100 mount.
Bro this mount support RA axis moter drive or not
a gentleman and a scholar
this dude knows his stuff, bravo good sir
Hello, ...does the ED APO R&P focuser fit the AR127? I hate crayfords I'd much rather have nice simple R&P...ya know, since the AR127 is a widefield scope it should have a focuser that will lift big heavy ep's with no problems and slipping.
Thank you, Lou, for taking the time to do this talk with Kent for the AL. I appreciate it. Well done.
I can’t see anything…I followed all the instructions and it’s totally black
Excellent discussion. Thanks!
It was a great ALCON I saw it on line
Bom dia sou do Brasil os meus sonhos resultado telescópio desse que lugar onde eu moro quanto tempo está bom é ótimo para observação
I truly wish someone could or would explain this whole procedure properly from the beginning, and do so as if they were talking to a 5th grader. To NOT assume that everyone is somehow highly skilled individuals in these areas, and therefore not part Rocket Scientist. Like how bout showing how you open the app and what tasks to perform step by step. What's the first step to aligning the mount with Polaris, then necessary steps to just get the mount to work in the most basic of ways. Instead of jumping in like this video has, and not even explaining the first most important part which is Polar aligning the mount. (Don't get me started with the whole Azimuth Adjuster Adapter, for another $110 that some say is absolutely necessary to polar align the mount. Which i have not purchased by the way) So I've got my mount polar aligned kinda i guess, then I try to have it slew to Saturn or Jupiter and it comes nowhere close to either one. Or any other object i choose. Is there some kind of way to let the software know that it's polar aligned or what. On the ipad i try to do a 2 or 3 star alignment, but i cannot see the stars they suggest, then i try to skip to a star that I can clearly see and know what it is, and the software won't let me locate a star of my choosing, only the few stars that they suggest. I've had the mount for about a month or so already, and cant figure out a thing about it. I didn't just purchase this thing so i could hear and see it slew to objects that aren't even in view of whatever the mount is pointing at. Then Up, Down, Left, Right, doesn't even perform any of those actions. Left i believe makes it move up, Up makes it move to the right, and there's literally no button that makes it move down. Frustrated is an understatement believe me!!! 😤🤬🤬
This is a challenging mount even for a amateur. If you are a beginner, I would get a Celestron Nexstar Scope and buy the Starsense AutoAlign accessory.
I am in the same shoes as you are, so much that I am considering to return the mount since I still have time. The ExploreStars app works partially only on my tablet, but I must always to stop it by force in settings because apparently doesn´t have a shut down button. Then UTC and local time are the same in the app. Yesterday I had a success in finding Saturn after I manually put my clock in tablet one hour in plus. But that lasted until the midnight, and afterwards no adjustment of the time helped, I could not find anything else. I polar align using an app in the Smartphone and the mount is set close to 0 North, but no use. It would be OK if I could at least find an object in finderscope, but the mount misses the point for at least 30 degrees every time. There is no explanation anywhere why this is happening and most of the users are pointing out that it is necessary to buy an adapter. I agree, if I needed fine tracking over the night for astrophotography, but just to do 2 star alignment or find any object, one day I could not even find a sun, it took me ours of testing. I updated new firmware, nothing changed. The most I can do with this mount is to manually find objects, GOTO is completely unfunctional and there is no answer neither on forums or by the manufacturer what may be solution there.
Anything Explore Scientific absolutely sucks. Just stay away.
Can you please tell me how I can buy a ES AR127 achromat from Europe ? I couldn't find it anywhere in all of Europe. Thank you!
Does anyone know how to change the battery on the red dot sight
Cool video trying to get into it but I can't get the app to work connects to the pmc eight, but the app says, "Please wait
Mine just says please wait
The polar scope doesn't have the "polar clock", can someone explain how to use it please? Thanks!
needs a finder scope but other than that jupiter and its moons look good
I’m still reading David H Levy’s book I got as a kid in the 1980’s
Very poor video!! Too much jumping! Can not appreciate most of what is shown!
does this have IR capability?
Robert's talk was simply wonderful and so classy and worldly... Thank you for your service in Vietnam Robert and thank you for sharing your recent adventures in Kosovo 🇽🇰 Keep looking up and enjoying the journey ✨️Sincerely! Cameron
Show how to assemble the rt70400 telescope
My favorite scope I wish they would bring back
I emailed support for local deals and steals for return instructions in case I’m not satisfied. I hope they do right by me. Shame on ‘em if they don’t
If this thing doesn’t suit my liking, back in the box it goes.
I’m not able to tell the difference with moving those little turn knobs for the red dot finder. On the side, it turns loosely and the other one on the bottom is tight. When I turn it on, I can see the red dot but I don’t understand exactly how it works with those knobs. Can someone please help me?
How is this video still on TH-cam, 2 years later?
A long way from C-Entry
The 9mm.and 5.5mm are only mechanically 2", the optics can fit in 1.25"/2" hybrid barrells. Every other manufacturer of 100deg eyepieces goes up to 13/14mm with 1.25" capability. When the 9mm first came out we were shaking our heads at it being only 2"
These are apparently discontinued. Are your explore one 6x21 basically the same thing?
Too bad they are stuck on one manufacturer, since this telescope would benefit from some long focal length eypieces available in 3 and 4 inch. Even a 55/56 plossl would be a good addition, not to mention a 100mm Kellner or similar. At f19 every design is sharp to the edge
The video sucks. Tells me nothing of how to use it. Anything I look at is blurry at best.
do you have a SIMPLE way to do drift alignment to fine tune the polar? Which knobs do you turn? How do you choose which stars to use?
The correcting lens for the LSST is now the biggest lens in the world.
Great presentation!very useful.Thank you very much.
this thing is a big piece of shit i got it for my birthday and ive been fucking with it for 5 days and cant get it to work this thing is garbage
I'm in the same boat and you can't find a simple video telling you exactly how to make it work
I take it back. Start at 27:49 and thank me later. :)

just watched Ethan, great presentation! one of these GSPs I'm staying home from work so I can participate in chat.
