  • Here's a rather rare NAD model from the late 70s that was manufactured by either BSR or Garrard.

    You can see why the audiophool types (and I used to be one) wouldn't touch a table that looks like this (and indeed, many others) because it looks "cheap" and too "Rube Goldberg" or "Heath Robinson" but hey, they get the job done, correctly and accurately - and that's all that matters.

    BSR. They were sort of a last hurrah from them, it's a shame as they were slated here by the press in the UK which can't have done them any good where they were as well made and functional as a typical Japan turntable of the same sort of price. They ended up with plenty of names on them.

    Surprised you don't have an ADC type headshell at hand. They are very obtainable and cheap.

    My speaker cable connectors are coloured purple and green and I was like wtf-wtf ?! Who does that? :)

    NAD is a funny animal. I like their spartan approach, but never sure on consistency or focus on detail.

    was curious on the cycle cam when its plastic do you ever take it out to lube it or is it doesn't need to be

      If it is showing signs of sluggish movement, then yes.
