    When you say it's expensive to live in the tourist area with a view its relative. I live in Seattle where a water front view in a condo will easily be over a million and normal condos with no view run over 750k. You can't even find a house in a neighborhood near the main city for less than 600k. Me and wife have been looking there and have found ocean view condos for 150k-350k so we would consider that dirt cheap. Thanks for your video lots of great information

    We were just in PV, and the hockey playoffs were on. We were at the Melia, and went to Chappy’s to watch the games.They closed early, on the last game of the series one games, so had to find another place to watch the remainder of the game. We went to Fajita Banana, where they cheered WITH us, even playing our teams winning song! They were awesome!! Both places allowed my boys in (15 $ 17). All of these restaurants/bars are located at the Marina. We ate at Route 66, where we danced the YMCA, and my oldest son, is a fussy eater, and LOVED their pizza!! Fun staff. We saw two crocodiles, which was so great to see sunning on the rocks and floating by the boats. I, well we now, LOVE Puerto Vallarta! My boys didn’t understand why I loved it so much there, now they do. 🥰🙏❤️ The locals made our trip so very enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back there.

    Hello vivi , I’ve watched many of your videos regarding the rainy season months, and I know you have told us that usually the rain comes towards the evening / night in September. I wanted to ask how is this year looking so far? Jaja I know you can’t predict the weather , or anything like that. but, you see, I’m from California. And this year it’s been snowing in places it doesn’t usually snow and overall more places that didn’t get much rain before are getting slot of rain now. And it’s alot already in this short beginning of a year. I wanted to see if that was taking into affect where you are aka puerto Vallarta.
    Me and my mother were planning a trip out early September (3-9) because me and her and my brother are all around the same birthday time period and thought that would be a good time to go. I’ve just been trying to do as much reasearch as I can and this is the only thing I’m debating and stuck on. We are very outdoorsy people, but also want to just hangout by the beach and pool. If you think this year is already looking like a wet wet one maybe we shouldnt go, or maybe go in October even though it’s a bit of a price difference. I don’t mind rain, as you said in the morning and early afternoon we are able to do an activity. I just think it would be a bummer to kinda splurge a lot just to get there and be mostly stuck within our hotel. We wanna go walk malecon, visit the umbrella street a la toastaderia, the cuale island market, visit Los muertos pier, go to cerro de la Cruz, zona romantica etc, things like this and activities wise we were looking at 1 day canopy River rzr package. The rest of the time going to the beach and swimming. I feel like that’s maybe calling an October vibe,? But please let me know what you think. I’m a person that’s always trying to get the most info I can. Gracias again por todo.
    Kind regards,

    • @VallartaLife
      @VallartaLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty much like you said I can’t predict how September will look like. During the day you can do most of those activities unless there is a tropical storm or hurricane coming. The weather has been normal in this area right now.

      It’s a hassle with traffic, if you don’t mind driving back and forth it’s ok, if you plan to stick Ubers or taxis it will get costly

    What would you suggest if we're staying at a place in Mismaloya.. getting back and forth to downtown? Uber/Taxi? Rent a car for the week? Bus? Going beginning of June, and also have 2 kids under 10. Thanks!

    • @VallartaLife
      @VallartaLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bus is the cheapest option at 10 pesos per person, but also taxis are readily available right by the Barcelo Resort

    Me and and wife will be there for Cinco de mayo I realize this isn't really celebrated in Mexico but do you have any recommendations. We also like to eat more local family owned restaurants off the main strip do have any recommendations for that?

    • @unfailingcolt8928
      @unfailingcolt8928 ปีที่แล้ว

      How was Cinco De Mayó? We went to San Sebastián, on a tour, and learned the history there. VERY informative!!

    The part at the end about police not enforcing most rules in Mexico is true from my experience, there's supposedly seat belt laws but have never been pulled over for not wearing them and neither have my friends.
    Someone can correct me if im wrong, but I've heard it's rare they even enforce drunk driving laws there.
    I think there's even towns you can pick up open container mixed drinks while in your car, like drive up stalls and stuff that never get shut down.
    I guess it's just a much more relaxed vibe down there, the police don't sweat the small stuff.

    • @unfailingcolt8928
      @unfailingcolt8928 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m sorry, but seatbelts are a necessity there. Lol I’ve went in a cab and on a tour, and man those vehicles move fast! I have to say though, great drivers, for how fast and zipping in and out of traffic, and it’s just another day attitude. Lol I swear I lived in PV in another life! It’s just too familiar and comfortable to me.🥰

    • @NeonAnimeDreams
      @NeonAnimeDreams ปีที่แล้ว

      @unfailingcolt8928 Love PV, and most of Mexico TBH, the country has a special place in my heart, it's very free there and quite fun, though I can understand why a taxi ride might be nerve racking to first time passengers!
      The craziest taxi ride I had was in Mexico city, guy was easily doing double the speed limit if not more weveing in and out of the busy city traffic, went through a red light and his car's shocks felt as if they were 30 years old and really seen a beating over the years, all the while the back right passenger door didn't fully close and seemed like it could pop open anytime we went over a bump!
      Haha, great times I'll never forget 😄

    I just checked for the time of the La Cruz market, and on google maps it stated that the market was temporarily closed. Not sure why...I hope it is reopened when we get there in Nov 2023 or Jan 2024.

    why would they use hotel occupancy to determine the #1 place in Mexico for tourists? Cancun blows PVR away in sheer numbers and with an airport with 3 terminals vs PVR's tiny airport. I find this disingenuous.
