Just went this past week (made it out 1 day before flood 🙏🏼) Watching your video made me say “THANK GOODNESS we did not go to the confluence!!!” I would have died!! 😨 Came out with 7 blisters due to my sandals breaking on the way to beaver 😫 but mannnnn confluence looks amazing! will def put on my list for next time 💪🏼
hello! great stuff! is it allowed to bikepack in this route (from the Grand Canyon village to Supai village)? also is it possible to do this route during mid december-mid january?
closed during DEC and JAN...not sure what you mean about bikepack from GC village to supai....no way to get from GC village to supai unless you drive 3 hours
Great Q, I brought 5 batteries total (the longer lasting white ones) and I think I went through 4 of them. Basically each battery lasted about 2 hours I think...
Great question...So I messed up on the shoes. I wore running shoes but brought a pair of water shoes/slippers for water crossings. These water shoes were VERY flimsy like slippers and I cannot believe I made it all the way to the confluence in them. It was almost like going barefoot...felt every stone and rock and branch. It was a hassle changing in and out fo the shoes so I ended up just wearing the water shoes most of the time.
@@flowerpower1980 if you're going in the summer, I suggest a good pair of water shoes and a side of flip flops for around the camp...I usually just wear good water shoes for the hiking and swimming. I used teva's in 2019
I did not...however you can use AllTrails, they have the hike. It's easy though, once you get past Beaver Falls, the trail is 80% on the right side and easy to find. There are a few river crossings. But again, use All trails (Campground to Confluence Hike)
Hey, are you willing to share some of your raw video footage? Need the parts with those packhorses being run up the trail. Hard to view them clearly with time lapse.
Beautiful place
Superb! Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome Shane
Amazing!!! Thank you 🙏 can't wait for our trip march 6
thank you! You're going to love it, and it should be warmer by then
When I hiked this in the mid to late 80's four years in a row, there was no bridge and no store, no place to buy anything. A lot has changed.
wow, that must have been amazing to be there back then
That gravel sounds like a PITA to hike on.

Hello it's all fun and games on the way there it's the way back it's going to be hell
truth
so sad how dead everything is, I was there back in 2012 and it was incredibly green.
Thank you for sharing. Amazing video. Could you share your video settings? Camera type, video settings?
Yes, thank you. I used timewarp setting, HERO11 GoPro, highest laspe setting (i think it was 15-1 or 20-1)
Awesome video, are you able to car camp the night before rather than staying at the inn?
No, they do not allow that anymore. It seems they will stay strict
How long after the flood were you there? The water looks clear. I am going April 8th weekend and I know there's flooding going on at this moment.
I was there before the recent flooding thank goodness. This was taken FEB 4th 2023. Good luck next week!
Great video, thanks! Curious, with the 11 and timewarp how often were you changing out batteries?

First video recorded like this, showing the whole trail. Helps me to mentally prepare. Thanks
you're welcome!
Do you mind telling us what kind of shoes you were wearing? Great video! Going in Nov

@@TheTruth427 thanks!!! Still trying to figure out trail runners/water shoes

Checkout Keen brand shoes for hiking.
Your video is great, one question: did you use an application, map, Google maps or something like that to avoid losing your way?
I did not...however you can use AllTrails, they have the hike. It's easy though, once you get past Beaver Falls, the trail is 80% on the right side and easy to find. There are a few river crossings. But again, use All trails (Campground to Confluence Hike)

@@janethpaezvillamil sure thing!
That store was in the village oh my god how it's changed since I looked at it last mankind is destroying it

Sure thing but please realize that this is raw footage....I put the camera in time lapse mode
Wait fire is allowed?
because of the flood there was a huge amount of debris/trees down, etc. They let us burn to get rid of the stuff...worked out for both of us!
