When you give your dog peanut butter, make sure there is no xylitol in it. It's a sugar replacement that is dangerous for your dog. To be safe I only buy 100% peanut butter.

You just need to ask yourself " What did people feed their dogs before processed 'pet food' was invented ? They ate what we ate - fresh meat, vegetables, fruit, some whole grain products like bread, etc., and often lived much longer and healthier lives, back then, too. Lesson learned.

      Make sure dosn't contain xilitol!.
Xylitol (sometimes called wood sugar or birch sugar) is a common sugar substitute that can be toxic to dogs. Even small amounts can be fatal.
It’s regularly found in sugar-free chewing gum, toothpaste, mouthwash, vitamin supplements, a small handful of peanut butter brands and other 'low sugar' or sugar-free products. Prevention is key. All human food should be kept out of the reach of dogs, but be particularly vigilant around products containing xylitol. Ensure no packs of chewing gum are left lying around the home or kept in pockets and handbags that your pet can raid.
      Best regards❤️
Ps xilitoln can also be in yoghurts.

Purina, Hills and Royal Canin have phd level pet nutritionists on staff to see that dogs get the nourishment they need. Most other dog food companies do not have this level of knowledgeable people designing their food. Having said that, while I feed my dogs 3 meals a day, their home cooked meal for supper is more anxiously anticipated.

What is crap to us is different than what dogs need. All my dogs lived long lives on kibble for 15+ yrs, 18 yrs,and my rescue is now 13 yrs. None had any major health issues and had their teeth until they died. The one that lived to be 18 was fed human food for his first 4 yrs and his teeth were rotten. By the time he was,12 he had to have what was left of his teeth completely removed. Do you eat hot dogs, scrapple, bologna and other crap. That is what the dogs eat full of whatever is left over from the animal.

Limit peanut butter as it's high in sugar and sweeteners are bad. In fact, "Xylitol" also known as "Birch Sugar" can harm or kill your dog in small amounts. Chicken can be a treat but it is definitely not a "meal substitute" for dog food. It certainly tastes better though!!! Small amounts of cheese can be a great tasting treat but the amount shown here is freakin crazy! Give maybe a table spoon for a treat for a dog that size. EVERYTHING in moderation! Plain yogurt is great but again, they show way too much being given. Fish is great as a treat but the mercury in fish is too high to give regularly. Eggs are great but can be a little hard for some dogs to digest. Cooking them over easy provides the best absorption. Give limited green beans if you don't want your poor pup to have diarrhea 😲 Yes, remove seeds & cores. Apple seeds for example have cyanide in them and dogs are much more sensitive to it than us so you could being doing damage to internal organs if you let them eat apple seeds.

Beware, while salmon is heathy any fish must be cooked throughly to prevent parasites from infecting their gut. In addition, read labels carefully because salt , sugar, or artificial sweeteners can cause electrolyte imbalance. This can be fatal. My butcher laughs because while I eat meat very rarely, my dog Gianni and I visit twice a week to buy turkey or chicken for him. I boil it with no additional seasonings and mix it with a high qualify dog kibble. Rocco, the butcher, says he is the best fed dog in our village. He also gives me beef bones as a treat. He refuses to let me pay him for the bones so I go to the local coffee shop/bar and prepay for a couple of glasses of vino for Rocco and his girlfriend. We just have fun. Yes, Gianni, is a rock star.

  • @peterturnham5134

Peanut butter.... read the label, many brands add SUGAR That's BAD. Why are you frying chicken to give to your dog? Dogs ADORE raw meat and you are not adding fats and oils. Here in France I can buy fresh Pork or Beef offcuts cheaper than tinned dogfood, yes that means ears, feet, testicle penis etc. Your dog will go wild over these and they are healthy. Dogs were designed to eat these. OK in the USA you may be challenged to buy these at your local supermarket, but if you have a local professional Butchers shop or your local supermarket butchers in house, Ask to speak to the Butcher. In my local supermarket in France I know the Butcher, he knows me, I buy my Sunday roast there every week and he gives me FREE a giant bone or îece of offal for my dog. Normally it would be thrown away or dumped in a bin to go to the dog-food manufacturers. Fruit, be careful, Apple seeds contain Arsenic that's why t(hey are bitter and we spit them out. Other fruits can kill, for example Grapes, both fresh and dried , so I am told. However, BIG NO NO. You don't feed dogs when you are eating at the table.. If you do this they will harass you each and every mealtime. My dog knows he gets nothing while I am eating. It is the same in the wolfpack. So he is calm, waits and does not harass me or my guests. He knows he will get a treat after I have posed my knife and fork on the plate with a Click. Then he knows it is Game On but he gets his treat in his food bowl, not on top of the table. Next big NO NO, children feeding dog, Ah Ah Ah! You as a mother, might think your children are wonderful..... By definition children are not responsible adults. When you are not looking they will feed your dog with everything they like, that pmeans Sweets, Chocolates, biscuits, cake, ice cream.....
