Great tips! Important one at 5:35, (you are so right, no one spotted this one, and I couldn't find it in the manual which leaves a lot to be desired, and makes videos like this so helpful.) Adjusting the exposure value by swiping from the right, WHILE FILMING, is so handy!
Love your videos. Something I found, when in manual mode. When changing your shutter speed if you tap on the EV number above it, you are able to adjust the EV manually higher or lower and then save it to a custom where it will save that compensation setting. Great for moments where it’s overexposing.
I've learned something from every video in this series so thanks for that Vic. I've watched all available videos on the Pocket 3 and yours are easily the most helpful and straight to the point. Please, keep 'em coming!
Depends on the region you’re in. Ntsc or pal. That aside auto flicker turned on but more importantly you need to change the frame rate. For example 50p to 60p and so on.
Hey Mike, how you doing? Good to hear from you again. Yep definitely keeping it. For me, the size and quality means it’s an easy choice to fit in the bag depending on what I’m doing.
@@VicBarry Im doing much better. This summer has been a rough one on our family. My dad passed away this summer and we all are very close to one another. So, kinda put the breaks on my TH-cam stuff and just now starting to get the bug again to upload videos! Yeah, thinking this would be easy to use and is very inexpensive. :)

@@VicBarryOk "normal color" is good enough and decent enough for indoor talking head videos for TH-cam? Hi! when I make a longer video, the aciton 3 always automatically splits the video into smaller files, but I would prefer if it didn't split it and the video itself was just one file. Is there a setting for this? Thanks
No setting for this. Some cameras will split large files into 4GB chunks due to the 4GB file size limit of the FAT32 or exFAT file system, ensuring uninterrupted recording.
Great Video thx! Just subscribed. What would be your settings for a 1 hour dj sunset video 4k (on a tripod, one position) ? Would appreciate your feedback.
Can you lock the pan and tilt. For example to use to film in car driver shots on suction cup with the camera moving from the frames we’d position 😊 I guess as close to an action cam static as can be.
I’m waiting for the nd/cpl filters too. Polar pro have some but not available in the uk. Hopefully freewell or K&F concept will be putting out something soon.
Thanks so much for the tips! I was worried that I had received damaged gear since the image looks way too sharp. It seems like the OP3 is just too sharp, and I'll need to reduce it in post. Do you agree? Thanks in advance, and here's a new subscriber!

@ 1:53 It's not impossible Vic. Go into Manual mode and set the ISO and shutter speed to 1/50th or even 1/40th and presto ! True cinematic motion blur for a Cinematic 24p (Well, sort of, because it's actually one of those stupid fractional film speeds which are no longer relevant *23.976p* . If you want even more blur, then drop the shutter speed down to 1/25th of a second in the OG OSMO. Go into the manual exposure mode while making sure you are in the video mode in the OSMO Pocket 3 and see how low you can set the shutter speed there. I know that in the original OSMO Pocket, you can go as low as 8 seconds of exposure per frame IF you are in the Time-Lapse Mode ONLY !
@@VicBarry Hmmmmm ? That's interesting to note, as I do not see that effect with the original OSMO Pocket. I take it you are, of course, referring to # 3.
@@markjob6354 Yeah that method can work... Well best at low-light situations since you can only go so low with ISO and the pocket 3 has a fixed aperture of F2.0 (one less variable from the exposure triangle) so that's where NDs come into play :) I'm not sure how that can be for the first pocket maybe cuz it has a smaller sensor tho not sure if that adds up. i think it's time to deliberately avoid using the rule of thirds and stop looking like literally every other channel in existence
