Nice to meet you Hokkaido is in Susukino There is kazu my name is working at FLAIR BAR es To foreign customers Why do you know our BAR? "When I looked at TH-cam!" When I looked it up, it was this channel! Thank you very much! It will come like a month and now it's sapporosnowfestival so it's packed everyday! I'm sorry for comments but I want to convey my gratitude! !
I completely agree. Besides a few format differences (like asking for recommendations at the end), this would not seem out of place broadcast on national television, at least in my opinion.
In this video, he's normal. But before he made a trip to the UK about 5 month ago, he'd had some online English lessons. In the lesson, he showed us his terrible English for fun. It was as if to be bad at Englsih.
I'll never forget, this was the first abroad in Japan video I watched, you helped me fall in love with Japan in a way I didn't think I could, I'm even studying Japanese thanks to you! Thank you for everything you've done Chris
I have been living in Hokkaido for 9 years and absolutely love it. You get the both of both worlds, by living in the country and also having a mini Tokyo with Saporro being close by. The rent is super cheap compared to Tokyo, with plenty of apartments at the 30,000 yen ($300) level. My house is a bit old but warm at only 15,000 yen ($150) dollars a month. Food is absolutely amazing.
It makes me smile knowing that Natsuki is happier. Just watching him enjoy himself and not worry about the daily grind that is owning a business is so relaxing and exhilarating at the same time!! I truly want him to succeed in life and be happy.
4:20 this transitional sequence that goes for abt 20 secs to show the neon lights of the night is always gon be one of my fav parts of a video (and the music adds to it by a good bit too tbh)
I used to live in Sapporo on my student exchange!! 😊 Something i highly recommend is visiting the Sapporo JR Tower! You can get even better panoramic views of the city than the TV tower can provide, its also higher and i think cheaper! I also recommend a Hike up to Mt Moiwa as opposed to catching the cable car, its not difficult or long and has amazing views and nature is always 10/10
Diego Fernando I guess how disconnected it is from the rest of Japan, as well as how distant everything is in Hokkaido. You can imagine as a 16 year old how much I wanted to explore the major parts of Japan but also how difficult it actually was to do so. Winter was of course awesome, and skiing was part of my school curriculum which was cool, something we really just don’t get down in Australia. There wasn’t really too much to dislike about the city itself though, its easy to navigate, lots of things to do around the city, the mountains are close by skiing can be done 30 minutes from the city centre, its just not an ideal place for someone who wants to travel the rest of Japan
Yeah Japanese people are probably among the best people to become friends with. Mainly because they're just generally nice people and they actually know how to respect others. Why do you think their culture is so diverse and they never really have that many civil issues. (Besides North Korea of course) XD
I’ve been living in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi since February. I love my new life in Japan. I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time and effort in uploading your videos.
What I love about Natsuki is the random and utter bonkers things that he says. “Power spots” and “mysterious mountains”. “Pretty beer for child. Can’t get drunk size” Never change, Natsuki.
the beginning and ending shots of Natsuki looking at the city with the music is a fantastic shot, hes got that wonderment in his eyes, the excitement of the music
Natsuki alongside Chris is so great to watch. Sometimes with other TH-camrs it feels like he has to be extra funny because other people expect him to do sth crazy. Just casual interaction like the one on the tower with Chris is absolute gold! Go Dental😄
Sapporo was the first place I visited in Japan! Love Hokkaido! Everybody goes to Honshu for obvious reasons (Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo) but I really love Hokkaido!
I started watching these videos because I'm moving to Japan in January....but I KEEP watching these videos because of your dreamy eyes and smart British sarcasm.
I LOVE Shiroi Koibito. My mother's sister-in-law hails from Sapporo and her parents would always send her and our grandparents a box of these. We children would get one each and the jealousy was REAL xD. When a coworker of mine went to Japan, she brought me three boxes of the stuff, happiest day of my life istg
Hey Chris, keep it up with the great content ! I am visiting Japan 🇯🇵 for the first time next year for me and my partners three year anniversary and we can't wait! You're videos have helped give us a bit of insight as what to expect and we are looking forward to it. Keep it up dude! Sending the love all the way from Auckland New Zealand 🇳🇿
Hey, I visited Sapporo and Otaru a few years ago. You can take a bus from Sapporo which takes you into the mountains to an onsen called "Hoheikyo". If you go in the winter you'll get a breath-taking view of the surrounding mountains covered in snow. That's definitely my number 1 thing to do in Hokkaido.
LOVED the end bit film/music. Your techniques continue to raise the bar and appeal!!! Keep up the interesting and fun videos Chris!!!!! Traveling with "The Great Nat" makes it all that much more fun.
I love Sapporo! Visited in January when the snow was like 10 feet high :D The best part were cab drivers that drove on ice that was a foot thick like total pros!
Emppu T. No!! The tires skidded like 5 feet every time they put the breaks on! The drivers just seemed to know when to break. They were so good at it! :))
Hello. I have some questions. Is sapporo good for part-time job? What would be salary per hour(part time)? Can i found there 25000 yen per month apartment or rooms for living?
@@Emppu_T. Even here in Norway we rarly use spiked tires anymore. Cause they are pretty much only better on pure ice, while the soft winter tires are better on pretty much any other surface. Liking the direction the production value is going on these vids, even if it means more time between them. Happy to watch this as it reminds me of my own 2 night stay in Sapporo last November. I’m currently staying at a ryokan in Jozankei, Sapporo right now and absolutely loving it! It’s because of you, Chris, that I finally got the courage and strength to do my 3 week stay in Japan and travel to so many places within this beautiful country, and stay the hell away from terrible tourist trap areas.
Small thing, but having spent some time on the internet this morning seeing your proper use of "They're" makes me so happy I could cry. In fact, I will T_T
I asked about it during the Patreon live stream. It should be coming out sometime this month. Hes putting a lot of work into it and trust me when i say the ending it will worth the wait. Natsuki has something special for us.
"If you're going to drink one beer in Japan: Sapporo beer" Of the big producers yes but the microbrewery craze started in Japan in the 90s as well and the Japanese threw the same effort into those as they have the rest of their cuisine. Each one I tasted in Japan was a fantastic representation of its style.

hi Chris! your videos made me wanting to go to internship to Japan, so I learned hiragana (your advices worked as it took me only 6 days with my horrible memory) and now i'm learning katakana and some basic phrases, will see if i can do it.. thank for your great videos! i'm laughing every time :D
“Can’t get drunk size”. From the guy who gifted the world the “electric box”. 😂 😂😂😂. Natsuki is bloody hilarious. A beer fuelled night out with him must be awesome.
Thank you for making this video, we actually followed this itinerary last time we went to Sapporo ! But the cookie factory was closed for renovations at the time, sadly😂
Definitely try visiting Nikka Whisky the next time you’re there. They’re one of the few breweries that does whisky the old fashioned way. It’s also the site of an NHK drama (Massan) and they make a great cider.
It’s been my dream to go to Japan And travel all over the country And I would love it if I bumped into you and him! Japan seems like such an amazing country to go visit!
DAMN YOU. I've only just finalised my itinerary for a 10 day trip this November and now I think I have to jam a trip to Sapporo in there somehow. HOW HOW HOW?!?! In all seriousness, though, your channel is my first point of call when researching Japanese culture and when planning my trips. Thanks for another great video.
Those biscuits look absolutely delicious😩😩😩. And that ramnen..oh my god with the butter too!!😍😍😍 That is one amazing meal right there. I am crying just thinking of how good that tasted😭😭

I will be in Sapporo tomorrow. Can’t wait
Natsuki is a literal superstar... he should be on every tv show on the planet. The single most entertaining human I’ve ever seen.
Ethan no the stations and people will ruin his wholesomeness innocence.
I'm not sure if he is trying to be funny or not but he is hilarious.
He seems like an honest man. That one friend who's silly and weird and clueless sometimes but always got your back.
He definitely needs his own tv show.

I think this is the best-produced travel video on the channel so far. You're getting really good at this!

Exactly what I wanted to say. Keep up the informative style of the videos
An Englishman and a Japanese man walk into a bar. Greatest friendship of all time.
English breakfast tea in the morning and a sapporro at night 😂,its what i had today.
'Human dental' 'Mysterious mountain'
I'd almost forgotten how quotable Natsuki is! :)
I've literally based my entire existence on one of his quotes.
"Human dental"
Abroad in Japan TIL human teeth and bears mixed together ascend to become the embodiment of children's tears.
New t-shirt FTW
I think he meant denture, as in human teeth. But what do I know.
Human dental with meat sticking on it... That is more like a mascot for a horror house.
Deep.
Natsuki's english is genuinely improving. :)
He was pretending to be poor at English
Rio wait even in this video? Why would he do that?
In this video, he's normal. But before he made a trip to the UK about 5 month ago, he'd had some online English lessons. In the lesson, he showed us his terrible English for fun. It was as if to be bad at Englsih.
