    Wow that's a blast from the past. My dad got me a big red 250 when I was 8 or 9 years old, and way to small for it. I rode it like I stole it. Sometimes I wonder what my dad was thinking buying me that thing. He would definitely get locked up in today's world for less then half of the stuff he let us do and play with as kids. Wouldn't change growing up like that for the world.

      When i was 12 my parents were divorced and i lived with my mom in the city and i asked my dad for a motorcycle and he gave me a 76 cj360 road bike and told me not to ride it wink.? Lol i remember pushing it to the fire Department so they could help me bend my shifter back. Lol the 90s were a different time.

    • @ziptiejedi5658
      @ziptiejedi5658 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dustinh4175 Definitely a better time to grow up compared to today. For my 12th birthday my dad bought me a 92 kx250 that was way to big for me but he let me ride it when ever and where ever. I ran from cops on it once and all they did was come to my house the next day to yell at me and talk to my dad about it. Nowadays they would Impound the bike and lock me up. Kids today barley go outside and play. All they do is play on their tablets, phones or game system. It's a shame that they didn't get to grow up in the 90s like us and experience being a kid more often. The only time I played my game systems was if the weather was to bad to be outside If it wasn't raing/storming I would be out putting miles on my bicycle/dirt bikes, or shoot my bb guns, or real guns like a 22lr or 410. I wouldn't trade those days for anything!!

    I have nothing but good memories with these things. Funny enough my brother stole my uncles big red. rode it for a while then threw it down a bridge. A few days later my uncle saw 3 wheels float around. He fished out his trike, 2 crank and it was going again. Not even water logged or anything. These things are beasts. The only bad times I've had was how often mine would get stolen -.-

    Your dad reminds me of my dad. When me & my brother we're younger we came across a 3 wheeler and my dad decided to get it for us. We got it to the trails, rode it once and he was like no no no, that's too dangerous, and sold it lol. Same with a go-cart, I flipped it once and it was sold lol. He just recently passed away, but watching you with your dad brings back all the good memories, so I really appreciate both of you for making videos 🤙🏽

    So many memories. We had the Kodiaks I think. But they were the big beefy ATV's and we had gun racks side mounted and then bow mounts on the back. They had a ton of custom options.. We could take down a 150 lb boar, gut it, and chuck it on the front or back, trudge through the tire up swampy mess you were in to get the hog and get back out. They had front winches and a unique seat that let the rear passenger hold on to a thin vinyl strap right behind the driver's butt. It was so impractical. And held on with about 10 randomly place staples.

    Dude, the sound of that took me back. I was raised on a Beef Ranch and the Honda 200 & Big Red were what we ran cattle with when our horses got too old. I had a 200 Big Red that was chain driven! I worked on a farm I could put 700 lb of feed on the back rack plus me being 200 plus and you couldn't even tell it had anything on it. We had two trailers for the three wheelers. One built out of a pickup bed that we used to build fence out of. The other was built out of a military metal box about as wide as the three wheeler and about 4 ft long. The only things I ever had to replace on it was brake handles, I was really good at breaking them. And the chain and big back chain gear. Oh and the one time someone tried to steal my three-wheeler I had to replace the key switch. It went through hell and back again and went back again for some more!

    Wow, I remember the Honda Big Red 250 that was passed around in the family for almost 25 years! Thing had a weld patch on the tank from wreck that made a gash in it, had to pull crank it because the electric starter had completely went out and the shocks were pretty much gone..... but it would crank and run like a dream every time.

    I had a small 125 Suzuki four wheeler back in the 90s. I was around 10-11 at the time and not strong so I couldn't start it. Got stuck out in a field because it stalled but luckily someone I knew was out there and restarted it for me.
    That was the last time I drove a 4 wheeler other than in the GTA games.

    We had one with the big balloon tractor style tires that would float and we would fish off of it. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we did. God bless and stay safe.

    Growing up my
    Uncle had 2 3 wheelers on the farm, and I loved watching him do wheelies up and down the half mile of dirt road, I wanted to try it, long story short, the breaks were shot and the clutch was the only way to slow
    Down, put my foot on n the ground and rolled my ankle under the wheel! XD

    My first encounter with a Big Red was back in 1984. I wasworking at a ski resort on a snow making team. The first time I had to drive one was a night and the parking brake didn't work. I pulled up to a snow making machine and pulled the hand brake lever and pushed the locking mech. in.
    I turned around to see my ride rolling down this steep headwall. I tried to catch it but gave up after ten yards. It made it to the bottom before it rolled over side to side. It was fixed by my next shift and decided to use a new snowmobile instead from that point on.

    I have a ES Honda 250 #3 of 85. All original aside from the tires. I took it all over the mountains in Arkansas. They said I'd die going down that mountain.... My three legged dog and I showed them how we do it in Texas.
