I lived in La Linea for a number of years really miss living out since Brexit happened, La Linea, Gibraltar, etc, everything within walking distance and if you got bored you could always catch the bus to fuengirola, marbella, malaga etc. Those were the days!
This seems to be a very unique place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Agreed! I think it has to do with how old the buildings and walkways are and they just haven’t caught up to making it more efficient for those with physical disabilities. Hopefully they will soon!
Hi! They can speach both languajes. And when they talk to each other, they use a dialect calles “Llanito”. A combination of Andalusian Spanish with British English. Very curious. If you activate the subtitles you will find more information. Cheers!
False. The UK shares a land border with Ireland. Gibraltar is not part of the UK. It is a self-governing external territory. And, more precisely, a British Overseas Territory. The UK naturally comprises of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. On the same vein, The Falkland Islands are not part of the UK either. It is wrong to think of Gibraltar is to the UK what the state of Tasmania is to Australia. There are critical differences in both of these examples. 🇬🇧 🇬🇮
@@user-kc1tf7zm3b I disagree - Gibraltar is part of the UK in reality, the UK Government competent on all defense and foreign relations. Where I do agree is that we should abolish the House of Lords and have an elected senate where the four nations of the UK and all UK Territories (including Gibraltar) are represented. I also think we should pull out of ECHR and not have non legal authorities exercise any jurisdiction within our country!
@@Paul-qg3iw Yes, the UK Government is naturally competent with defence and foreign relations. However, in a strictly legal sense, Gibraltar is not part of the UK. Gibraltar is pointedly a British Overseas Territory (BOT). Any British and Gibraltarian solicitor will tell you this. Technicalities matter. As Wikipedia states: _They [BOT] are the last remnants of the former British Empire and do not form part of the United Kingdom itself._ As for abolishing the House of Lords, this is a different matter altogether.
@@user-kc1tf7zm3b Hello, I respect your knowledge in this area. All I know is that we in the UK and overseas crown territories have the same national flag (in addition to our local state flags), same military and same head of state - QEII. Also as far as I am aware under British Nationalities Act anyone from the Overseas Territories can l live in the UK, and interestingly this right of abode now extends also to some 3 million people in Hong Kong China, as a UK HMG response to CCP NSL. As far as I can see the UK and the Crown Territories including Gibraltar are one nation though I accept that you may take a different view!

We kinda think of the UK as an island but it in fact directly borders 4 EU States - Irish Republic, France, Spain and Cyprus. Who knew ;-)
Right!
