Hi: If you are working with v2020, when you load the not spatial file I had to to create a UNION, then open the union and add there the spacial file. That way you can see the GEOMETRY field to proceed with the intersection. If you add the two files and try to link them, the geometry field will not show. And THANKS TO ANDY and team for the videos!
Great Video!!! I try to create something similar. I have city and country in my data file. but when I try to create the makepoint function, it doesn't have latitude and longitude as an option
I am trying to build a map Viz which I use to be able to do quite easily on Spitfire but can't figure out on tableau. So I have 3 sets of services that are provided across a list of countries. Eg Country A = Service X and Y, Country B = X, Country C = X and Z etc. I am trying to simply plot them on a single map and show icons for each of the XYZ services. I see various tutorials on Dual Axis but of we have 3 services then it doesn't work. Thanks for the guidance
@@vizwiz Yes had been trying that, but when the data connects, it shows "Null" values in the Spatial file. You should make a video on how it can be done.. Have searched the net, but could not find a solution for it
Wow Eva, fantastic! Thanks for keeping us current on the new features. Great chatting with you at the airport yesterday!
This was recorded by Lorna.
@@vizwiz oh sorry that's embarrassing. Thanks Lorna for the tip!

Great video! Unfortunately the link for the workbook is broken. Is there an alternative link to download the workbook?
Fixed. Sorry it took me so long. I didn't see the comment.

Lat/Lon must be in your source data.

I'd recommend you post your question on the forums.
What if I don't have long lat data and only area names? then how do I make the join?
Then join by area name.

Why when I opened the spatial file, instead of getting joint, it ask me to edit the relation...So I have no place to type makepoint. HELP need here!
I just solved the same. See my comment in this video
Nicely done.
Thank you, perfect.
