@@theman3274 I think it was like that because in the original game certain things actually had 3d models while the rest were just sprites of 3d models (unnoticable due to the low resolution of the DS), and whoever made the mod just ripped the assets from the game without trying to make the models match the low-res sprites... and also it just straight-up uses NSMBU Mario.

Volcano theme could work really well with Super Mario Maker 2 - The Day Version could be the Mountain Theme from Super Mario Bros U and Night Version is the volcanic eruption from Super Mario Bros U/Wii with added effect of random meteors flying down

@JCL Kaytwo the overworld theme was altered a little and tossed in. That makes people think New Soup Wii copied New Soup DS. That was the only song they brought over. Everything else in Wii is new, maybe with one exception I haven’t noticed. New Soup U took a lot of Wii’s soundtrack. New Soup 2 used the EXACT soundtrack. Honestly, Wii has the best soundtrack of the bunch. I know you’ll agree.
Also, so? So me and many others would loved to have gotten a new soundtrack to listen to.

@@dez-m I don't see the appeal even tho I liked New Super Mario Bros. Looks like it'd play exactly like the current new super mario bros but with a lower resolution. They could add the tiny shroom, mega shroom, or blueshell power up to the current New Super Mario Bros level style so I don't see what mechanics this theme could add that would be different and could justify it's addition.
@Vesmir NG-3 I'm not entirely sure this is enough to make it unique like every other gamemode currently in the game. Super mario bros 2/doki doki panic I understand even tho I don't.
- Tiny Mushroom.
- Big Mushroom.
- Blue shell.
- Those thingies that makes you spin around in the air
- New enemies that don't appear in any other Mario game.
- New bosses.
- Gravity feels different.
- Etc...
Believe me, it's more than enough.

How do you apply the mods? I know that with the Wiiu version you could use the Wii app but I'm not sure about switch

Here are some of my thoughts on the night themes:
Mountain there should be Boulders
Beach theme waves
Lava theme Meteors
I prefer foggy effect for mountain night
Yes, a fog effect would be brilliant for the mountains. Totally agree with meteors for the volcanic theme, and I'm not sure how the wave feature would work for the beach but it sounds cool!

@High Bow Puffin 64 Yeah. The thing is, the community for that game used to be huge and there were many mods for it. Super Corn Flash and Super MLG Flash are the only ones I can remember.
@High Bow Puffin 64 Yeah the thing is, flash is dead. What really can carry the torch is another Super Mario X, or Mario Builder. Or even Mario Game Master. Even Super Mario War! All these had level editors...
@High Bow Puffin 64 Unfortunately, Pouetpu Games (creator) has gotten bad reputation over the years. And, the only service to convert flash to html5 that actually worked for GAMES was by Google, and was discontinued for public use a long ago and was integrated into their ad service. Other things I tried converting it is some... trial based flash cs5 plugin (which was completely broken for me) and Thrillex Flash Decompiler (compile to HTML5) which produced a buggy game. Other tools were meant for videos, not games. And, I did use Jepex Flash Decompiler to decompile to fla, and import to flash cs5 but got countless errors, but the game was semi-functional but crashed a lot and lots of things like being damaged didnt work.

@@class317 The rumor lies grounded in the fact that the menu shows theme(s) meaning plural where a single theme lies (SMB3dW section).
I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo added more themes as purchasable DLC.
In addition to that we need beach and volcanic themes in the SMM2. There should be more room to the game

Super Mario All-Stars sounds like a great idea. We already got that version of Ghost House and Airship. Now it needs Sky, Desert and Snow.

I would really love to have the beach, Mountain and also voolcano theme. They're really great, good job!
If they add new themes they will probably work more like extra or bonus themes that you cannot seamlessly convert to/from others (exactly like the SM3DW theme, which has its own section).
And now I'm sad it won't happen. Great work though.
My God that Mario Land 2 one was superb! They had Wario and everything! Although I doubt they'll be revealing any more styles at E3, I think this is the one I'd appreciate the most.

These are fantastic, in addition to these I would like to see more building options. For example a decorate wheel slot because there really aren't many options to make a stage look any better.

You know what would be cool? If in the beach theme you can increase the water level like normal, but instead it comes out as waves. Also the volcano theme can do something smaller with lava. And with the mountain theme there can be customizable wind

-The SML2 and All-Stars themes are pretty neat and I'd love to see them.
-The SML1 and NSMB ones also look cool, especially for the variety of themes they have (especially SML1)
-Another cool thing to see (and would be pretty beast) could be having a Yoshi's Island, Super Princess Peach, Paper Mario, Wario Land or Donkey Kong Country-inspired theme.
-If they go with the 3D into 2D fashion with anything else than SM3DW, seeing a Galaxy, SM64 or even Sunshine would be a blessing.
