LionWhispererTV aim is to raise awareness about The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary’s mission is to provide a self-sustaining African carnivore sanctuary for the purposes of wild species preservation through education, awareness and funding, especially pertaining to the rapid decline of large carnivores in Africa due to habitat loss, human-predator conflict, unscrupulous hunting, disease and their illegal trade.
On this channel, The Lion Whisperer films the majority of his footage using a GoPro camera, allowing viewers to get as close as possible to the lions, leopards and hyenas at the sanctuary.
Kevin Richardson hopes to provide viewers insight into the lives of these beautiful creatures and in turn, by watching the videos on the channel, viewers will be directly contributing to the conservation of these majestic animals.

I startied to cry happy tears watching Vayetse, a majestic apex predator, lay his head in Kevin's lap and submit to his love and affection. My God, how beautiful a moment!
This video made me smile and tear up at the same time. How Vayetse puts his head in Kevin's lap shows how much he trusts him. That's pure trust from a magnificent animal. Love your videos Kevin and the work you do. ❤️❤️💜💜
shrutiraman27 We know how an animal doesn’t forget why it hates someone. I believe Vayetse remembers Mafumu’s fight with the puff adder and lost. He remembers the lions starting to eat Mafumu. He was terrified. Vayetse remembers how fast Kevin made the situation better, I bet every time he sees him. That makes me cry.😕
I never tire of seeing Vayetse and the girls roll in the grass, the close bond they have is so endearing! I love seeing the Ginny and Livy climbing the rock, its always cool. Kevin's lap is a great pillow for Vayetse, awww! 🦁❤❤❤
I loved watching Vayetse with his enormous head in Kevin's lap!! They all look so healthy and content. Adore the raspberry blowing and sweet sounds of endearment you make to these magnificent creatures. Thank you 1000 times.
For me the highlight of today's vlog was vayetse lying down with his head on Kevin's lap. That is what the CONNECTION is about. That is where Kevin's years of hardwork shows
Their "big cat"-breathing is so moving and beautiful.
Kevin takes one walk a day in lockdown to another level. What a joy to be part of their enrichment.
It's so serene just to hear the calm breathing and licking of the lions. A very peaceful and positive atmosphere
I love how soothing and quiet this episode was. Part of me now wants an episode in which Kev goes for a walk and there's not a lot of talking and no background music. I'd love to just hear the "sounds of the bush" as Kevin puts it someday. Thank you for all that you do, Lion Whisperer team!

Who else tried to listen very closely to the device to hear the roaring when Kev said lions singing in the background?
When I have a bad day(due to illness),I watch one of these videos.Seeing the beauty and harmony between nature and men makes me feel better.Then I can forget all the questions turning in my head,like:why is there so much brutality,misery and pain in the world?Why can't people live in peace with each other and mother nature? Why are we destroying deliberately our planet and ourselves?And often,I think:Is THAT what we're living for?Then I prefer to die.The video then reminds me that life is worth it.That there's still beauty and love in the world.As do the daily(enrichment😊)walks with my dogs through forests and over fields.A big hug to everyone working at the sanctuary.Animals included,of course!♥️

I always love walks with Vayetse, Livy, and Ginny. Their attitudes are hilarious, so spunky, yet when they relax, Vayetse becomes the biggest cuddle bug. What a wonderful group. Loved this video. It just made my day.

I appreciate the message. Kevin is special.
At the same time, we urban homo sapiens have lost complete touch with nature. Lions are social species so it makes sense to them to bond with whoever raised them. Kevin has a great love for animals and has taught us a lot about them. But i think all humans have that connection to nature deep inside.

I like how they all scatter in different directions when they jump out of the truck. I also love that Kevin does not take this life with the lions for granted. He enjoys every moment and it shows.

I love Vayetse, Ginny and Livy! This trio are the happiest lions ever! I love to watch them go for enrichment walks. They're very happy, healthy lions which is a tribute to the love & care lavished on them by Kevin & The Lion Whisperer Team! To see their excitement when out exploring makes my heart swell. Kevin's commitment to giving all the creatures in his care a great quality of life is evinced in every step of those walks! This video is so beautiful. Calming and just so lovely 🥰. To see how much those lions love you Kev it’s wonderful. It makes you appreciate the wonder of animals and their no judgments what you see is what you get! I love that so much never having to say or do anything they just accept who you are and what your about. Once again Kevin an amazing and educational upload. I live in South Australia and we are lucky enough to live near the foothills so we see Koala's, Kangaroos, we were lucky enough to see an Echinda and Kookaburra drop in quite often to have a laugh at us. 🐨

The male lions is too easy, even I can distinguish between them easily. The lionesses won’t be easy imo.
I bet Kevin would crush that game. I, on the other hand, have been following for 4 years and still struggle. 😆. I’ve always thought it would be helpful if the website had a “class picture” page grouped by pride
We have made such cards to practice so hopefully we can tell them apart when we visit... Easy with some, harder with others... and couldn’t find pictures for everybody that were labeled with their names...🥰🦁🐾

Walks are amongst my favourite content. So great to see these animals roam, and it's so nice what you're doing for their mental well-being. Not to mention that they voluntarily come back home with you. 🔥
The relationship Kevin has with these magnificent creatures is pretty awe inspiring. His relationship with his animals is so different than others (a.k.a. Tiger King) who use intimidation, whips and force. Just amazing, thanx Kevin for all you do.
