- Every esport has its goat. Whether it’s a particular player or a roster that builds a dynasty, being the best of the best guarantees you a special place in the history books.
Of course, some events are more prestigious than others, and offer winners highly coveted trophies and massive prize pools. Still, most players compete because they want to be able to say that they’re number one at what they do.
Even if it’s one of CS:GO’s dumbest game modes.
Meet Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill and his wingman for life, Alexander “Rushly” Rush - the unlikely duo who mastered CS:GO’s famously terrible battle royale game mode, and made it their mission to humiliate each and every opponent they encounter on their way to the top.

So weird that the narrative around Danger Zone is that "it sucks"/"its dead"/"nobody plays it", when in Europe you can get a game any time of day in 30 seconds and have a consistently good time.

Danger zone is not a hated gamemode. It's so nice to casually play in between games.
I gave Danger Zone another chance recently and I can confidently say it's a lot of fun. It's just another Battle Royale except there's always something going on due to the maps being so small instead of other BRs where you could be running around for 30 minutes straight doing nothing. It can also help players learn some trigger discipline as ammo is scarce.
Honestly danger zone is probably the coolest and biggest thing valve did for csgo lol, kinda weird but only panorama came close (and now CS2 of course)

I'm speechless on how good their movement is
not that shit, it actually can be fun, it just hard to find a game sometime
basically PUBG with less bullet, way smaller map, and more trick and strategy
have 68 wins and hundreds of game already, and when i thought that quite high number then i met a guy with 450+ wins 😅
there are guys with 2-3K + wins , i have around 500 wins myself but CID and guys like him are just on a whole another level ...
danger zone is a great game mode , i don´t understand all the hate and trash talk around it .
once you master the techniques it is a lot of fun to play (certainly better and more fun than boring retakes or arms race)
(and i´m saying that as a solo player , with steady teammate you have much much more options in terms of strategy and many more ways how to play the game)
- people criticising it are usually the noobs who are trying to open smg/shotgun boxes with their fists , or "planting" bumb mines as a "protection" around themselves ,
guys who try it once or twice and say "it sucks" because they don´t bother to learn how to play .
also the statement "nobody plays it" is not true - it is still played by lots of people (at least in europe) , i always get a match within 30 seconds .
i suspect this guy tried it once or twice - got destroyed and decided it is a "stupid game mode" :D

Nobody plays it compared to any actual BR or CS itself. The hate is because it's a kind of mediocre mode that took a ton of dev time when they could have improved the mode people actually cared about.
Valve should give us DangerZone showmatches tbh

Danger zone is fun. To echo a lot of people in the comments with some love it could become a rotation game mode for people for sure.
First of all they are not that good. Never seen them win ever, when I was in the same lobby.
Second: dz is hard to play thats why they call it stupid. Mm is a joke compare tó this gamemode. Enemy can only come max 3 direction. Most people holding 1 angle for years. In this gamemode you have to aim, think, play really good to reach top.

Why do people call it bad or shitty? I have played my fair share of BR games, but none was actually as good as CS DZ. It's honestly really, really good. Last time I enjoyed a BR game as much was back in h1z1's pre-season 3.

Like the game mode... Just get rid of jump mines and parachutes. So not fun having somebody show up with a shotgun behind you, caus they can travel the whole map in 3 sec, and barely makes any noise doing it.

Danger Zone is the only battle royale I tried and it was ridiculously confusing, just pure confusion.
If u really play CS, u won't have any problem if u keep learning DZ for a week. I'm also having hard time learning DZ and eventually gets it that DZ is very fun

Even thou I can't play as much as I can back then. Im telling you DZ is hella fun. There's a time which in covid era where I don't know what to do then decided to try DZ. After that, I only open CSGO just to play DZ till I get to the Howling Alpha. Good times
