Brings tears to my eyes, Neill is still out there. If Geddy and Alex want to bring an ode to Neill by performing again, they should definately give you the sticks to Neil's songs.
Exactly. Unfortunately I doubt Sterling is famous enough to get a chance to do that. He deserves so much more attention and you can tell he cares with his covers because he adds every small detail that Neil added.
I had made a huge comment on this kids video for Xanadu last nite. Once Again He is the Best Drummer I have ever seen on this Channel. I have watched several very talented drummers and talked to them also over the past few months Im a professional Drummer myself. Huge Rush fan my entire Life !!!!!!! Neil Peart has been my mentor. My Teacher. My Idol. My entire Life. This Dude is so Amazing.!!!!!! Blows my mind how good he is.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really admire your talent and passion. It must be so difficult to learn and memorize all those songs! I really don't know how you do it... fantastic!!!!
I know you know that this is no slight on you but your skill and execution (which is amazing) give me an even deeper admiration for what we were blessed with in Neil Peart.
You played. Very well calm and just hit your marks that’s hard to do with Rush lots of guys tend to over play including myself and specially this tune Neil would smile down on this.
Ok Mr. Fuentes. You don't see many overhead shots. Yours is great - and of that song too! I can now see a couple things that were kind of a mystery to me before. 😎 Thank you.
made it look easy, and maybe for some skilled drummers it is. but i listen to a lot of music and ive never, heard anyone create the same ...atmosphere? mood? theres another word for it but i cant think of it. im a big fan of tool and danny carey, but danny isnt neil. Thank you Mr Fuentes for honoring RUSH. the greatest band that has ever lived. (yes I will put Rush's catalog up against any band ESPECIALLY 1976 (2112) to 1982 (Signals - still my favorite album cover, one thing about Rush, they appreciated humor. when i was a kid i thought the Signals cover had one meaning but then i realized it was a double entendre.. the other meaning was even more obvious but i missed it for many years. The "Moving Pictures" cover is a triple entendre) Anyway. Thats 6 albums in 6 years 2112, Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres, Power Windows, Moving Pictures and Signals. Wow..its absolutely amazing when you consider some bands sgruggle to write one good song. I cant imagine another band as prolific in output as Rush. Beatles maybe but thats like comparing a honda to a ferrari in my opinion.
I read an article that Geddy and Alex have been working on some new music... I hope they see this and reach out you... flawless... incredible job Sterling !
Sterling, if Anyone out there has any pull at Juilliard, they don't know what they are missing with You, Awesome Job with Rush and Genesis my two favorite Groups
My god your quick with your right arm, I was actually lost a few times looking for the whereabouts of your right hand had been and wheres its going to next and you're technique is so good it went 100% percent perfect with the song, didn't miss a single beat.. excellent job well done!
Impressive as all hell and the camera angle is genius. I watched your Limelight cover just before this and had to subscribe. Kudos on the amazing performance!
La bateria de neil la escuchas mil veces y quieres repetirla nunca hace lo mismo eso lo hace grandioso cambia sin perder el compas solo un genio hace eso...!!!👍
Sterling, without question, IMHO, you are thee best Rush cover artist I've seen on TH-cam. That being said, I thought you would be interested in this video (I was only 7 minutes into this video, and I got tired). A wonderful tribute to Neil. If you please, check it out: RUSH R40 -- A Tribute to Neil Peart by Paiste artist Joel Stevenett feat. Signature Cymbals!
Not quite sure about the sequence at about the 1:25 to 1:32 mark. Also I think the fill at the 3:42 mark needs to start higher on the kit. Otherwise fantastic job. I have played for 43 years and have tried to pattern my playing after the Professor as well.
Obviously the TWO cretins that gave the thumbs down... haven't got a clue about drumming... in the SLIGHTEST..: Get lost ... and leave the rest of us to enjoy a fantastic drummer entertain us...
When you watch his video, you understand better the genius of Neil Peart. You nailed it man.
Brings tears to my eyes, Neill is still out there. If Geddy and Alex want to bring an ode to Neill by performing again, they should definately give you the sticks to Neil's songs.

Each and every one of his covers are flawless
Great work! I was struggling with 5:00-5:15 and watching you made me realize I was wildly over complicating it. Thanks for the help!
No stick toss at 1:57? - just kidding, great cover!
Ha - I was going to say the same. Would've been cool from the camera's perspective. Great nonetheless.
Outstanding Cover with deadly precision! It's easy on the ears.

That’s what happens when you listen to Rush
I really admire your talent and passion. It must be so difficult to learn and memorize all those songs! I really don't know how you do it... fantastic!!!!
Your snare is to prominent that it just pops above every drum. Brilliant
I know you know that this is no slight on you but your skill and execution (which is amazing) give me an even deeper admiration for what we were blessed with in Neil Peart.
Wow...Nice job. I think that Neil Peart (RIP) would love your cover.
You played. Very well calm and just hit your marks that’s hard to do with Rush lots of guys tend to over play including myself and specially this tune Neil would smile down on this.

Superb and flawless as far as I (and many others) can tell. You need to play drums to know how difficult this is to do. Keep up the good work.

The driver of the "gleaming alloy air-car" gave this a thumbs down.
That driver was just mad that they go beat by a car from the late 40’s
You're a'ight, but just be in focused on! Neil Peart, even retired, is Neil. Take a long way home ;) You,re Good, a,ight!!!
Impressive man. Are you Canadian? lol
